KFC’s Pickle Burger And Pickle Pepsi Might Be Worth The Flight

The pickle craze has really been going through the fast food sphere. From Culver’s to Long John Silvers to Popeyes and tons more, pickles are getting the spotlight. So pickle girlies, get your passports ready. KFC just released the most pickled meal ever. But you are gonna have to travel for it.

This new pickle meal, aptly named ‘picklecore,’ is all about the pickle with a side of other stuff. So, just what can you expect in this awesome meal? Well, pickles obviously. But let’s get into how they’re serving up pickles, because they found some really creative ways to get pickles into a meal. 

Everything About The Pickle Menu

Now the sandwiches are available in smaller meal options and alone, but for true pickle fans, you’re gonna want to get the picklecore meal. The sandwich is dubbed the pickle burger. But don’t be mistaken, KFC isn’t adding beef to the menu―this is just a chicken sandwich. But with more pickles than seems reasonable for a sandwich. Not just one pickle type either. No, this chicken sandwich, aside from the chicken, is topped with dill seasoning, pickle ranch, crispy pickle chips, and sliced gerkhins. And of course, for those that like spice, there’s a spicy version of the burger as well. 

The next part of the picklecore meal is the fried pickles―a real no brainer when you’re going to have a pickle themed menu. This next one though? Wild. And that is the loaded pickle chips. This is crispy fries and popcorn chicken topped with crispy pickles and pickle ranch. Your meal with also come with a side of pickle ranch for all your dipping needs. 

But the meal doesn’t stop there. And look, I’m not pickle girlie. I like pickles, but not enough to try this one. No meal is complete without a drink and KFC is offering a Pickle Pepsi to go with your picklicious meal. Yes, you’re reading that right. KFC is wanting you to put pickles into your Pepsi. Now, they at least offer it as a side shooter so you can add as much pickle and juice as you’d like to your Pepsi. Honestly, I think I’d just drink the pickle juice straight. Someone got some whiskey for a pickleback? 

Sadly, Not Available In The U.S.

Now for the sad news for most readers who are chomping at the bit to try this meal? It’s only available in Australia and only for a limited time. So if you want to try, you’re gonna have to go down under to do so. I’m usually okay when fast food chains do regional food at overseas restaurants, like the bulgogi burger at McDonalds in South Korea or this egg sandwich from KFC Japan. But this pickle menu is a pretty standard thing that they could easily release to a larger audience. Unless Australia has the largest number of pickle lovers and I just don’t know about it? 

I think this would’ve been a slam dunk to release in North America and possibly Europe.
