Has Krispy Kreme been resting on its laurels this fall? It has not, people, it has not. It feels like the doughnut chain has been busier than ever, with the last couple of weeks bringing a flurry of new items, including its Churro Doughnut Dots and Original Glazed Coffee Flavored Doughnut (which we have to say that we didn’t love, but hey, appreciate the hustle nonetheless). But where, we wondered, was its Halloween stuff? Other restaurants like Cold Stone Creamery and Dunkin’ were announcing theirs…but from Krispy Kreme, nothing.

Well, turns out it was just biding its time for something pretty special. ‘90s kids, you’re going to love this one.
Krispy Kreme Looney Tunes Halloween Collection
This week, Krispy Kreme announced its Looney Tunes Halloween Collection, which begins today – yes, today! From October 6, participating shops will be offering a collection of four new doughnuts, all inspired by and decked out with images of your favorite Looney Tunes characters. That means Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Taz, Sylvester, and Lola Bunny…they’re all making an appearance here. I’m slightly sad not to see Road Runner anywhere, but I digress.
Anyway, let’s talk about these doughnuts! Here’s what Krispy Kreme is cooking up:
- Bugs Bunny Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut with chocolate dulce Kreme piped inside, dipped in red dulce icing and hit with chocolate drizzles and bat sprinkles, with a Bugs Bunny Vampire sugar piece on top. Vampire because it’s Halloween, remember.
- Tweety and Sylvester Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in candy corn-flavored icing and a confetti sprinkle, with a Tweety and Sylvester pumpkin sugar piece on top.
- Taz Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut with Oreo cookies & Kreme inside, which is then dipped in chocolate icing and Oreo pieces, adorned with green icing drizzles, and finished with a Taz Mummy sugar piece (again, Halloween, spooky, etc.)
- Lola Bunny Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut with a purple buttercreme-flavored swirl, gold stars, and a Lola Bunny sugar piece to top it all off. Simple. Flashy. Fun.
Looking The Part
The main thing I’d say about these new doughnuts is that they’re very visually striking – especially the Bugs Bunny and Taz ones. They practically pop out of the box, and if we’re talking in Halloween terms, they definitely look the part. Whether they taste the part is another question, of course, but if you’re keen to bring some nostalgia to your Halloween parties this year, they’re available now and will be for a limited time.
