Liquid Death is known for introducing some pretty interesting flavors to their portfolio. From collaborations with Pop Tart to make a Pop Tart flavored iced tea to making a Fruity Pebbles flavored sparkling water, they are no stranger to going bold with unique flavor. After all, they’ve built a brand on delivering customers what they really want and need in a high-quality, kitschy way.

From delicious iced tea to pure and clean mountain water, Liquid Death presents a unique take on products done well. Their hyper-stylized gothic branding often contradicts the contents of each can. But at the end of the day, it’s still just a high-quality drink made with good ingredients. So you can understand why they have a cult-like following at this point.

True to the Liquid Death brand, their newest release is an unorthodox flavor for iced tea. But this is the kind of thing that fans have come to expect from Liquid Death. However, there are things about this new drink that contradict what fans expect as well.

What’s The New Flavor Anyways?

Well, I can’t say that anyone’s been asking for it or that this is a flavor that’s in high demand typically. But, that hasn’t stopped Liquid Death before, and it certainly won’t stop it now. The newest flavor added to the Liquid Death iced tea lineup is called Cinnamon Roll. And, just as the name suggests, it’s taking all of the flavors we know and love from the delectable breakfast pastry and infusing it into the classic iced tea that Liquid Death is known for.

Similarly to most of the Liquid Death tea flavors, it has low sugar, coming in at just around 4g per can and it is infused with B vitamins. It also has 43mg of caffeine, which the brand insists is relatively the same as a Diet Coke. The drink’s currently available on Amazon.

A Missed Opportunity

What fans find particularly unique and confusing about this drink, though, is the lack of creativity in the name. Usually, Liquid Death names are themed around death or something at least a little off-kilter. But Cinnamon Roll? It’s very matter of fact. To be honest, it’s boring. It’s not what fans have come to expect and they’ve taken note. Ultimately, it begs the question of whether or not this will be a trend for the brand moving forward, or if this is just a blip in the Liquid Death team’s creativity. I mean, Sinnamon Roll was right there.

Regardless of the name, the jury’s still out on whether this flavor will be any good. Is it worth adding to their portfolio? Will we taste the cream cheese frosting? We’ll have to wait and see. Stayed tuned here at Sporked for our official review coming soon!
