There’s been an increasing movement in the last couple of months (well, years, really) towards drinks that taste like, well, snacks. It’s kinda a weird flex, and some of the combinations that drinks companies are coming out with are wild – but that doesn’t seem to be stopping any of them. Hence, we’ve had the likes of Popsicle-flavored alcoholic beverages and Liquid Death Peanut Butter Cups-flavored sparkling water, with the latter causing us to rub our eyes, lest we fell into a state of hallucination, to see if it was actually real.

Well, it is – and Liquid Death isn’t stopping there. It’s now releasing an iced tea that tastes like Pop-Tarts. We’re excited, we’re nervous, we’re intrigued, we really wanna try it, and we’re increasingly wondering where this will all end. Here’s what you need to know.
Like Pop-Tarts, But Way Less Chewy
Liquid Death Pop-Tarts Carnage is the latest in the drink brand’s left-of-center flavors. The iced tea is, amazingly, a lower-sugar version, with just four grams per can, and it also contains no artificial sweeteners. Each can contains 43 milligrams of natural caffeine, and a bunch of B vitamins – and Liquid Death is also donating a portion of the proceeds from each sale to help reduce plastic pollution.
As for the flavor profile, this one combines the taste of Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts with black tea, and it also has a pastry note in there, too. Weird, huh? Considering that Frosted Strawberry didn’t even make it into our 10 best Pop-Tarts flavors, we’re slightly disappointed with Liquid Death’s choice here (couldn’t you have gone for the raspberry, guys?), but hey. We don’t make these decisions.
Liquid Death Pop-Tarts Carnage is currently available on Amazon, where it costs $16.99 for a 12-pack. It should also be available at major physical retailers in the coming weeks, where you’ll be able to pick up a six-pack for around $8.99, although this might vary from store to store. As you’d probably expect, too, this one’s a limited-edition affair, so if you want to try it, don’t miss out.
And Do I Want To Try It?
Well, according to early taste tests, you miiiiight just wanna hold off. One person who got their hands on Liquid Death Pop-Tarts Carnage flavor posted about the experience on Reddit. “Very interesting flavor profile. Notes of strawberry jelly,” they said in their mini-review, before noting that there’s no real frosting flavor to be found, and a lot of toasted pastry flavor. Regrettably, though, they said that overall, they’d only give the drink a 4/10.
So, if you’re in the market for something totally different, you might wanna give it a spin. Otherwise? It may not be worth your time and money. We’ll leave that one to you; for now, we’ll be sitting back and waiting to see which other flavors the drinks company will be bringing to the table next.
