We Tried the New London Fog Milano Cookies

Milano cookies are in a category of their own. They aren’t as decadent as a chewy chocolate chip cookie or a frosting-coated sugar cookie. Nor are they as hearty and wholesome as an oatmeal raisin cookie. And, because of that, they are afternoon cookies. They’re not dessert, but they’re also not a snack. They’re tea cookies. And now, Pepperidge Farm is leaning into that tea cookie vibe with a limited edition Milano London Fog cookie. And, guess what? We got our hands on the dang things. I’m looking at the pretty purple bag right now. It says, hi, by the way. But should you purchase this new Milano flavor? Let’s get into the review.

New Milano Cookie!

Limited Edition Milano London Fog

Even though the press release claims that a London Fog is a “beloved cafe beverage,” I think it’s worth explaining the drink for those who are unfamiliar. A London Fog is, essentially, an Earl Grey latte. It’s made with Earl Grey tea, steamed milk, and a sweetener. It’s lovely, if you like the flavor of Earl Grey tea. And, honestly, it’s a good flavor profile for a cookie. London Fog Milanos consist of two biscuit cookies sandwiching a filling of milk chocolate, Earl Grey tea, and vanilla. cream.

Pros: The London Fog Milano cookie really tastes like a London Fog latte. The buttery cookie wafers give way to the thin but creamy filling, which releases the Earl Grey tea flavor that builds and builds the more you eat. But it’s not just Earl Grey flavor—it’s also creamy and milky. It really tastes like a tea latte. Wild! At first I was nervous that it wasn’t flavorful enough, but bite after bite made me love this cookie more and more. And it is so perfect with a cup of tea or a coffee. This is the ultimate 4 p.m. cookie. It’s just sweet enough to give you a little boost, but not so sugary that you’ll crash at 4:37 p.m.

Cons: It’s a very subtle cookie. It requires you to be patient, to wait while the cookie reveals its flavors to you. So, if you’re in a hurry and scarf it down, you won’t be impressed.

If you like Milanos and you don’t hate the flavor of Earl Grey tea, you need to run out and snag these London Fog cookies now. They’re limited edition, so they could be around for a year or it could be a month. Err on the side of caution and stock up.
