McDonald’s Just Added A Brand New Sauce (And Snack Wrap)

When a craving for a Big Mac or bundle of McNuggets wallops your appetite with a Mike Tyson-level haymaker, you make your way to the nearest Golden Arches, no questions asked. But it’s not even the variety of sandwiches or the chicken nuggets themselves that stoke your excitement―it’s the fact you get to venture into the sprawling land of sauces. If there’s one thing McDonald’s knows about its customers, including yours truly, it’s that we keep things extra saucy with every order.

A solid sauce ties sandwich ingredients together much like a rug ties a room together (we’re looking at you, Jeff Lebowski) and sauces like sweet-and-sour, honey mustard, Big Mac sauce, and spicy buffalo have long been reliable options for McCustomers everywhere. But, McDonald’s just threw the world a curveball and welcomed a new sauce into its lineup and it’s one that has me more than stoked to try.

A New Sauce And A New Sandwich

Starting July 21, 2026, McDonald’s Caesar sauce becomes available for anyone who’s ordered a Caesar salad at a restaurant and thought, “McDonald’s needs to hop aboard this flavor train asap!” Well, now it has. The sauce is infused with parmesan flavor and dripping with subtle notes of lemon and garlic, and I don’t know about you, but that gets my taste buds working overtime just picturing it. 

But the sauce ain’t just for dipping, either. Aside from the nuggets or McCrispy strips, there’s a Caesar snack wrap slathered with the stuff for a real punch-your-palate-in-the-face Caesar flavor, as well as a Bacon Caesar McCrispy sandwich with thick-cut applewood strips, Roma tomatoes, crispy onions, and pickles all stacked on a toasted potato roll and topped with that creamy Caesar sauce to tie the ingredientstogether.

Caesar Ruled Rome And Now He Rules McDonald’s

McDonald’s is making a solid play by adding Caesar to its sauce lineup. It’s a classic flavor that makes a boring salad at a pub tolerable, so why wouldn’t it work that same magic at the Golden Arches? And these new menu items couldn’t come at a better time for the chain to get some goodwill. To be honest, it’s going to feel like a betrayal the next time I order a batch of nuggies and totally ignore my go-to sauces (spicy Buffalo and sweet-and-sour, since you’re dying to know), but I wouldn’t be shocked if after my first bite I amend my favorite sauce list to include Caesar looming over them all. Caesar was a ruler, after all―I just never expected him to take charge of my McDonald’s order.
