Minute Maid is all grown up. Just like you, it’s graduated from lemonade to cocktails. Yes, Minute Maid Spiked launched this year and now you can get Minute Maid Spiked cans. Perfect for taking to soccer practices or, I guess, enjoying at more appropriate occasions like parties or adult camping trips.
They’re not technically spiked with hard alcohol. Minute Maid Spiked is a line of flavored wine cocktails. But they don’t mess around with ABV. Even without the strong stuff, they come in at 13.9% ABV. That’s nearly five times higher than a can of beer.
But are Minute Maid Spiked cans any good?
In my opinion, Minute Maid is the king of all things from-concentrate. Those frozen pillars of limeade concentrate? Absolute perfection—and good with tequila. So, going into this taste test, I had high hopes for Spiked Minute Maid. Read on to find out if my high hopes were met.

Spiked Strawberry Daiquiri
- Minute Maid Spiked Strawberry Daiquiri

I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to Strawberry Daiquiris. I love a real Strawberry Daiquiri made with real strawberries. Delish. But the super sweet syrupy things you get on Bourbon Street? Not my thing. Still, I know what that type of Daiquiri should taste like when done well. But this Minute Maid Spiked flavor doesn’t taste like either kind.
Pros: It tastes a lot like a melted strawberry popsicle. If you’ve always wanted to catch a buzz from a melted strawberry popsicle, you’ve found your Holy Grail. Honestly, it doesn’t taste bad necessarily, it just doesn’t taste like a cocktail. Or fruit. Or juice.
Cons: It’s so, so, so sweet. And it’s so, so, so artificial. It doesn’t taste anything like a Strawberry Daiquiri in any sense of the word.

- Minute Maid Spiked Lime Margarita
-
I’ve tried a lot of canned Margaritas during my tenure at Sporked. Basically, all I want is for them to taste like a real Margarita—something made with actual lime juice and actual tequila. That’s a bit tough for a wine cocktail, like Minute Maid Spiked. But they tried. I think. It didn’t work. But they tried.
Pros: I’m trying to find a nice thing to say about this Minute Maid Spiked Margarita. It’s tough. I guess, if you’re really into zesty Margaritas, you might like this. It has a strong lime zest flavor.
Cons: Unfortunately, it also has a strong citrus-scented cleaning fluid flavor. It’s soapy. It tastes like something went wrong in the making. But, since Minute Maid does make my favorite frozen lime concentrate, I will still hold out hope for this one. Try again, Minute Maid! Please!

- Minute Maid Spiked Pina Colada
-
Shockingly, there aren’t a lot of good canned Pina Coladas out there. I’m not sure if it’s the pineapple component or the coconut cream, but companies continue to struggle with this canned cocktail flavor…until now.
Pros: This is definitely the best Spiked Minute Maid of the bunch. It’s creamy and coconutty but still has a ton of pineapple-y tang. If you poured this over ice to dilute it just a bit, you’d have a really nice, instant tropical cocktail in your hands. And this is probably not something a doctor would recommend, but a dark rum float would really make it sing.
Cons: It has a bit of a minty quality that’s quite strange. But it’s pretty subtle. If I didn’t tell you about it, you might not even notice it. Pretend I didn’t say anything.
