A few years ago, British people started bragging in my comments about how they have an exclusive Monster Energy flavor: Monster Juice Bad Apple. Today, I have a can of that very same energy drink in front of me because Monster Energy correctly realized that we should never be deprived of a drink that those wimps across the Atlantic have access to. Monster was nice enough to sneak me a can of Bad Apple (along with many other upcoming flavors I’ll be reviewing soon) at NACS Expo—let’s see if it’ll keep the doctor away.
Pros: This Monster Juice flavor is, as the can says, sinfully good. It has a semi-sweet, dry red apple flavor with a hint of (artificial) fermentation. As a huge hard cider fan, this drink is right up my alley. Without a doubt, this is my new favorite Monster Juice flavor.
And this is a niche note, but I love how era-specific the label design feels. The era of “blonde woman as product design” is entirely in the past (for everyone except Hardee’s), so Eve herself tempting you with a Monster-branded apple really stands out among otherwise homogenous Monster cans.
Cons: Like all Monster Juice flavors, this is pretty heavy on the sugar. It’s good, but I’m not sure it’s “82% of my daily sugar” good.

Are any other Monster Juice flavors hitting shelves in the near future?
Back at NACS Expo, we got confirmation that two additional Monster Juice flavors will hit shelves in the next year. First, we’ll see Voodoo Grape launch in February 2026; keep an eye out for an early review from yours truly sometime between now and then. There’ll also be a very patriotic limited-time Strawberry Lemonade flavor hitting shelves next summer alongside a red, white, and blue Monster Ultra flavor. Read about all eleven new Monster Energy drinks releasing between now and May 2026.
Will you succumb to the temptation of Monster Juice Bad Apple?
