These Bettergoods are getting better and better.

For years, Walmart’s in-house grocery items were sold under two private label brands: Marketside, which focused on ready-to-eat items, and Great Value, which focused on packaged foods and emphasized low cost and, well, values. But in 2024, the company launched another line, Bettergoods, which focused on higher quality premium grocery items, looking to attract the same shoppers that flock to stores Trader Joe’s.

And so far, they’ve been doing really well, offering a wide range of high-quality (and tasty!) snack options that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Trader Joe’s impressive snack offerings. (If you’re curious, here’s our picks for Bettergood’s best snack offerings.)

But Bettergood’s newest addition is a line of bottled seasonings that seem like a direct shot towards Trader Joe’s line of similar seasonings. Here’s what they’re offering, as revealed by @candyhunting on Instagram:

Korean Style Gochugaru Sesame Lemon

This red chili powder is a staple of Korean cooking, with a sweet and smoky flavor that adds to dishes like kimchi and bulgogi. Sesame and lemon are also important flavors in Korean cooking, and often used to flavor marinated chicken.

Pacific Island Style Pineapple Teriyaki

They describe this as a “sweet pineapple, soy & savory umami” seasoning that seems perfect for Polynesian-style recipes featuring chicken or pork.

Mediterranean Style Charred Lemon and Herb

“Zesty lemon & herbs with a smoky finish.” Another solid addition to any marinade for fish or chicken.

American Style Spicy Dill Pickle

A “spicy dill blend with vinegar & red pepper.” What isn’t improved by some dill pickle flavor? Although, I’m particularly intrigued the red pepper, which should give it more of a “spicy pickle relish” flavor.

Middle Eastern Style Shawarma

A “savory Middle Eastern spice with turmeric & garlic.” Who doesn’t love some good, old-fashioned shawarma?

Jamaican Style Caribbean Coconut

“Tropical jerk with coconut, garlic & bell pepper.” The addition of the coconut should give this a slightly sweeter taste than plain jerk spices, leaning it more towards a coconut curry flavor.

Mexican Style Salsa Macha

A “smoky chili blend with sesame & vinegar.” The original salsa macha is a spicy condiment made with dried chiles like chipotle or pequin, mixed with vegetable oil, garlic and salt. This looks like it should give some of that mix of smoky heat and tang that goes with just about anything.
