Breakfast shouldn’t be boring. First of all, it’s the most important meal of the day and, secondly, have you peeked at your grocery store’s cereal aisle lately? There’s enough variety that you could probably try a different cereal every day for at least two months. But don’t worry—the product development elves at the breakfast cereal brands never rest, and that means even after you’ve tried everything, there will still be new cereals to try. Here are four new cereals heading to stores this spring that we can’t wait to try.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Root Beer Float
The only thing Americans love more than breakfast cereal? Soda. CTC, in its infinite wisdom, is bringing the two together with this root beer float flavored cereal. Now, I’m no cereal scholar, but this might be the first soda-flavored cereal (you can yell at me in the comments if I’m wrong). I’m sure this stuff will be good in a bowl with milk, but it’s gonna be tasty as heck sprinkled over a bowl of vanilla ice cream, too.
Tropical Trix
Moana and her cute little pig friend appear on this box of Tropical Trix, so prepare for your Moana-obsessed toddler to insist on bringing this home. What tropical flavors will you find in this new box of Trix? General Mills hasn’t been specific about that, but they’ve described the flavor as “fruit-forward,” which, yes, sure. If we had to guess, you can expect that lovely, unspecific blend of things like guava, mango, and pineapple.
Birthday Cake Cheerios
Whose birthday is it?? Oh, just AMERICA—NBD. Sure, America has a birthday every year (which also happens to be my birthday, DM and I’ll tell you where to send gifts), but this is the 250th and that calls for Cheerios that taste like cake. These are limited edition, so grabs ‘em if you sees them!
Protein Honey Nut Cheerios
When Protein Cheerios first launched, we tried all three flavors and were pleasantly surprised by how good they are compared to other protein cereals (mostly because most protein cereals are low sugar and Protein Cheerios are not). Now you can have THE BEST Cheerios flavor with added protein (and all the sugar that made it taste good in the first place).
Cotton Candy Lucky Charms
This one really tests the limits of what qualifies as breakfast, huh. Let’s not be party poopers, shall we? It’s cotton candy-flavored cereal with unicorn-shaped marshmallows—breakfast is served!
