A couple times a year, I get sent super secret internal documents that I really shouldn’t have. And it just happened again. I was recently sent an early draft of Coca-Cola’s 2026 innovation calendar. (Innovation calendar is a fancy industry term for the calendar that tracks all the new releases in a given year.) There’s way too much to cover in one piece, so we’re starting with the new and returning (non-Monster) energy drinks and all the sports-y hydration-y drinks in chronological order. Let’s dive in—and stay tuned for more Coca-Cola innovation news.

Here are some exciting new and returning energy drinks and sports drinks we can look forward to in 2026.

New: Bottled BodyArmor Flash I.V. with Caffeine

I’ve never tried BodyArmor Flash I.V. (BodyArmor’s version of Pedialyte), but it must be doing well. Right now, it’s available RTD (“ready-to-drink” aka sold in bottles) and as a drink mix packet. BodyArmor Flash I.V. with Caffeine is available now in the drink mix packet format, but starting in January 2026, we’ll see at least two bottled versions hit store shelves permanently.

Returning: Powerade XTRA Sour

We’ve seen six Powerade XTRA Sour flavors hit shelves for the last two summers; check out our reviews of the first wave. Starting in January 2026, it looks like we’ll see two of those flavors return permanently: Green Apple and either Peach Pucker or Watermelon Lime. (The colors are super similar so it’s hard to tell which from the super secret report, sue me.)

New: Reign Watermelon Sour Gummy Energy

Reign Total Body Fuel is pretty quiet for an energy drink brand, but we will see a new flavor hit shelves in February 2026. I love their “White Gummy Bear” flavor, so the upcoming “Watermelon Sour Gummy” sounds fantastic. At minimum, they’ll have a customer for life in my Sour Patch Kids Watermelon addicted friend Cam. He’ll be able to get his fix indefinitely too—this flavor is slated as a permanent addition to the Reign lineup.

New: Bang Lime Pop Drop Energy

Bang Energy is a little flashier than Reign, having released two new flavors in 2025. As of now, the brand is slated to release one new permanent flavor in February 2026: “Lime Pop Drop.” (Are they really trying to make a non-licensed energy drink version of Sun Drop?)

Returning and New: BodyArmor Chill and Dude Perfect

This year’s BodyArmor Chill flavors are returning mid-2026 for a limited time! That’s…fine! I liked this year’s lineup, but I would rather see a trio of new Chill flavors. To be fair, they might be new flavors—I just know the bottle colors all match up with this year’s lineup.

Additionally, we’ll see a brand new Dude Perfect-branded BodyArmor flavor hit shelves for a limited time sometime in the spring. That flavor is still TBD, so place your bets now on what the third trickshot-flavored hydration drink will taste like.
