There’s nothing quite like coming into work to find brand new Milano cookies on your desk, waiting for you to review them. I mean, it’s a lot better than finding pumpkin pie flavored instant ramen or some new iteration of ghost pepper chips, let me tell ya. And since the cookie fairy blessed me with a bag of the new Mango White Chocolate Milanos, I got to try them, share my thoughts, and not worry about my digestive system for the next 24 hours. A good day, indeed.

Pros: Y’all, these new Milano cookies taste as beautiful as they sound. The white chocolate and mango cream is bright, sweet, ripe-tasting, and a great complement to the delicate, buttery biscuits. Their mango aroma is a little stronger than their mango flavor, I’ll admit, but I think that’s for the best; if the mango was too strong, it would border on artificial. The flavor is really elegant, with a sweetness and subtle fruitiness that pairs well with a hot Earl Grey.
Cons: Hey, they probably aren’t for everyone. White chocolate can really divide a room, and fruity cookies rarely win any popularity awards. Also, I’ll say it: I find them a tad too sweet. We all know I can’t tolerate sweet treats very well, though, so take that with a grain of salt.
Verdict: A lovely edition to the white chocolate sub-genre of Milano cookies, if I do say so myself. It’s not everyday you find a mango-flavored cookie, either—especially one that tastes like actual mango. Nice job, Milanos.
Howdy! I’m a Sporked writer based in L.A., and you can find me overstaying my welcome at just about any coffee shop with free wifi, no matter the speed. Sadly, I can never move back to my home state, Florida, because even if the seafood is totally unmatched, there aren’t enough Mediterranean or Korean restaurants to keep me sane.
