Our Fiery Review of Flamin’ Hot Cajun Cheddar Cheetos

We’ve come full circle: the first article I wrote for Sporked included news that Cheetos was releasing a Flamin’ Hot Cajun Cheddar flavor. So, it feels very fitting that now that they are being spotted at Walmart locations (and I got my hands on a bag), that I should be the one to bring you Sporked’s official review. Did this new Cheetos flavor live up to the high, high expectations we all had? Read on to find out!

New Cheetos Flavor!

Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Cajun Cheddar

I won’t bury the lead, these are far and away one of the best varieties of Cheetos that have been released in a very long time. Round of applause for Chester Cheetah, he’s done it again.

Pros: Y’all. Frito-Lay (maker of Cheetos) is NOT messing around this year. I praised the Flamin’ Hot Mystery Doritos for truly being flavor-blasted—and these Cajun Cheetos deliver on the same level of exceptional “flavor-blasting.” These Cheetos send you through three waves of incredible flavor: First you are hit with the traditional Cheetos cheddar flavor, then you are quickly ushered into a very strong blast of Cajun seasoning, and finally you are hit with a HUGE punch of heat that has me sweating just from eating half of a tiny bag. To put it simply: These are cheesy, they are flavorful, they are spicy, and they are phenomenal.

Cons: I’m not going to say that these new Cheetos are too spicy. Personally, I enjoy the spice level, though some may not. But what I will say is that these Cajun Cheetos are spicy enough that I can’t eat a single-serving 3.25oz bag in one sitting, which is definitely disappointing to me. Is that a me problem? Maybe.
