Hot on the heels of their recent One Piece collaboration, Popeyes has announced that their adding two new honey BBQ sandwiches to their menu, as well as bringing back their limited-time chicken wraps as a permanent menu item. They’re available now!

What are the two new honey BBQ Sandwiches?

The new sandwiches feature a crispy, fried Popeyes chicken breast fillet covered in honey BBQ sauce, pickles, and served on a buttery brioche bun. The basic version is the Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwich ($5.49), while Honey BBQ Bacon + Cheese Sandwich ($6.99) will get you some added bacon and Harvarti cheese.

Are the new Popeyes sandwiches any good?

Even though the new sandwiches just dropped, early reviews are already trickling in. The Takeout‘s Michael Palan has positive things to say. He described the BBQ sauce as having a “very dense and rich taste,” comparing it to Korean BBQ sauce or another soy-based sauce. And he recommended topping the sandwiches with a side of slaw to add a creamy quality that the sandwich lacks.

On the YouTube channel theendorsement, the reviewer commented that the cheese could have been meltier. But he favorably compares the sauce to Sweet Baby Ray’s honey BBQ sauce and gives the sandwich a solid 81/100.
