In the world of sour candy, WarHeads reign supreme. Yeah, its flavors may not have made our best sour candy list, but the iconography of this brand is undeniable. Where other sour candies, like Retro Sours, get away with being a little lip-puckering, WarHeads live up to their name and go all-out on the acid that makes them so sour. Eating them is usually a pretty physical experience, if not altogether a flavorful one.

Now, though, it looks like WarHeads is trying to go bigger on sheer taste. It’s just released five new flavors of its drink—yes, it’s a drink too!—and we’d very much like to try them all. Here’s what’s up for grabs.

New WarHeads Sour Lemonade Flavors

News of the new WarHeads Sour Lemonade flavors came courtesy of one of our favorite sources for all things snacks and drinks, @markie_devo. The new flavors are:

  • Sour Green Apple
  • Sour Grape
  • Sour Peach
  • Sour Blue Raspberry
  • Sour Strawberry

As you would probably expect from this brand, these aren’t exactly subtle-looking products: Each drink has its cartoon logo on the front and comes in lurid colors that correspond to its flavors. That said, they do come in a very pleasantly-shaped vessel, which is almost like an old milk bottle. We’re a sucker for retro aesthetics.

Where Can I Find These Drinks?

At the moment, they’re only in select physical stores and have been spotted at Raceway. However, you can expect to find them more widely in the coming weeks and months. For all you social media buffs out there, you can also find them on TikTok Shop.

And How Do They Taste?

Well, you know what? Surprisingly, they’re not as sour as you’d think. @munchwithdes tried the drinks over on Instagram and found that the Blue Raspberry Lemonade had no sourness to it, despite being tasty and with a candy kick. The only one that really seems to be that sour is the Green Apple. Interestingly, the main takeaway from them is that they don’t have that much lemonade tang to them—they’re all a bit more juice-like.

Now, that might be what you’re after, but we don’t know if that’s what we expect from WarHeads. The whole point of this brand, and of lemonade, is that it has a pretty hefty amount of sourness—so where’s that sourness at? Why isn’t it anywhere to be found here? What’s going on, WarHeads? It remains to be seen whether other taste-testers will get a bit more sourness in their batches, but for now, it seems to be lacking.
