Old El Paso’s never been a brand to shy away from adventure. Nope: Instead, it strides forward confidently into food territory that others would steer clear of. You want fajita or beef birria ramen? It’ll deliver. Interested in a bowl of Cheesy Beef Taco-Style Soup? Boy, does it have the product for you.

Even by Old El Paso-watchers’ standards, though, one of its items stands out from the rest as being pretty bizarre – and apparently, it’s decided that it’s time for a re-up.

Old El Paso Stuffed Nachos: New Flavors Ahoy!

For those of you who didn’t know, Old El Paso makes Stuffed Nachos and currently offers them in three different flavors: Beef & Cheese, Chicken Fajita Style, and Three Cheese. “Wait, wait, WAIT,” I hear you say. “What the hell are stuffed nachos?” Okay, sorry, back up! These little snacks are, essentially, samosas filled with Old El Paso flavors: Each triangular, crispy package is stuffed with beef, chicken, and/or cheese, and after you air fry, bake, or microwave them (not recommended, personally – just thinking about how soggy they’d get), you can then munch to your heart’s content, while praying that your tongue doesn’t blister from the heat.

Well, apparently, Old El Paso decided that those three flavors aren’t enough – and we’re getting more! A couple of days ago, @candyhunting revealed that two Blasted Stuffed Nachos are dropping: Kickin’ Limón Blasted Beef & Cheese and Bold Nacho Blasted Three Cheese. Both of them are essentially variations of the existing options, with the former coated in a chili and lime seasoning and the latter coated with a cheesy one.

If this all feels a bit familiar, it might be because we were also talking about Totino’s new Blasted flavors last week – and both brands are owned by General Mills. It’s Blasted season, baby.

What Should I Expect?

You know what? Apparently, Old El Paso Stuffed Nachos aren’t terrible – so these new flavors might be a stealth hit. Don’t get us wrong, there are a lot of people (both in @candyhunting’s comment section and elsewhere) who say that these little frozen bites aren’t worth the money, but they also have their fair share of fans, who say they crisp up nicely in the air fryer and have a good amount of flavor. The idea behind these new options is that they’ll have even MORE of the latter, and if you want to give them a run for their money, you can find them at Walmart.
