New Summer Additions To The Whataburger Menu

Starting July 21st, Whataburger is adding the all-new Summer Peach Whatafresher and the Peaches & Cream Shake to menus for a limited time. One is light and fruity, while the other is basically summer dessert in a cup. Whether the craving is for something refreshing or something sweet, the chain is giving peach fans two good choices to enjoy this summer.

According to Whataburger, the Summer Peach Whatafresher is made with real freeze-dried fruit, giving it a crisp, refreshing flavor instead of tasting like an overly sweet fruit punch. The company describes it as light and bright, making it the kind of drink that fits everything from a lunch break to a long drive in the Texas heat.

The Summer Peach Whatafresher will be available in 16oz and 20oz sizes, with prices starting at $3.69―although prices may vary depending on location. Like the rest of the Whatafresher lineup, it continues Whataburger’s recent push into premium fruit beverages, a category the chain first expanded with flavors like Prickly Pear Raspberry and later Strawberry Hibiscus.

Of course, not everyone wants a light drink. Sometimes the only thing that sounds right is a thick, creamy shake. That’s where the new Peaches & Cream Shake comes in.

The seasonal shake blends sweet peach flavor with creamy vanilla, creating a classic peaches-and-cream combination that feels more like an old-fashioned ice cream shop treat than a typical fast-food shake. Whataburger says the drink is meant to deliver a nostalgic taste of summer, combining fruit with its signature creamy shake base.

The Peaches & Cream Shake starts at $3.49 and will be available in 16-ounce, 20-ounce, and 32-ounce sizes for a limited time.

Whataburger Is Having A Busy Summer

These peach drinks aren’t showing up alone. Earlier this summer, Whataburger introduced its Hot Honey Crisp Whatachick’n Sandwich, giving customers another seasonal option packed with sweet and spicy flavors. Adding two peach drinks to the menu shows the chain is putting just as much attention on beverages as it is on burgers.

James Sanchez, Whataburger’s Corporate Executive Chef, summed up the thinking behind the new drinks by saying that peach captures the feeling of summer. Instead of choosing between a refreshing drink and a creamy treat, the restaurant decided to offer both.
