Philadelphia Cream Cheese Spread is getting a little spicy this fall. The brand has teamed up with Mike’s Hot Honey to create a new whipped cream cheese spread that brings sweet heat to something that is usually pretty mild.

The new Philadelphia Mike’s Hot Honey Whipped Cream Cheese Spread mixes Philadelphia’s creamy spread with the sweet and spicy flavor of Mike’s Hot Honey. It’s Philadelphia’s first sweet-heat cream cheese flavor in the U.S., and it’s here to stay.
Sweet-Heat On Cream Cheese Spread
The new whipped cream cheese spread is made with Mike’s Hot Honey, giving Philadelphia’s smooth spread a sweet flavor followed by a little heat. The whipped texture should also make it easy to spread across a bagel, breakfast sandwiches, pizza, charcuterie boards, and more.
Hot honey has been growing rapidly on restaurant menus and, according to Datassential, sales of the flavor jumped nearly 230% on menus over the past four years. Search interest in the flavor has also reached a new high this year.
Philadelphia is hardly the first food brand to notice this trend. Einstein Bros. Bagels introduced its own Hot Honey Shmear earlier this year, using hot honey in whipped cream cheese and pairing it with new breakfast sandwiches.
Philadelphia is now bringing that combination to the grocery aisle.
Two More Philadelphia Spreads Are Joining The Lineup
Philadelphia has more than hot honey planned for the fall. The brand is also introducing Cranberry Orange and Salted Caramel spreads.
Cranberry Orange is the limited-time flavor. It combines tart cranberry with orange for a bright, fruity spread that sounds ready for fall breakfasts and baking.
Salted Caramel is sticking around permanently. It has a rich caramel flavor with a little salt to keep things from getting too sweet.
Both flavors can go far beyond bagels. Philadelphia suggests using them on cinnamon rolls, cookies, and salty snacks such as pretzels.
When Can You Get The New Cream Cheese Spread?
The Philadelphia Mike’s Hot Honey Whipped Cream Cheese arrives exclusively at Walmart in September 2026. It will expand to other retailers in January 2027.
Cranberry Orange and Salted Caramel are already rolling out at major retailers nationwide.
So there is plenty of time to figure out what deserves a swipe of the new hot honey cream cheese. A bagel is the obvious choice, but breakfast sandwiches, pizza, and snack boards could make things much more interesting.
