Just In Time For Memorial Day: Popeyes Has A New Deal

If there’s one thing that Popeyes is going to do, it’s do something flashy. From the unfathomably viral chicken sandwich that saw chicken sandwich dealers slinging patties to a new product dropping seemingly every week, they’re trying to get that bag. And I respect it! Their latest attempt is a monstrous chicken tender tower that’s dropping at The Surf Lodge, Montauk’s iconic music venue.

Starting Memorial Day weekend, Popeyes will be the exclusive chicken tender featured in the legendary “Chicken Tender Tower” that the music venue is known for. Popeyes tenders will be stacked in a multi-level tower and served alongside a flight of Popeyes dipping sauces.

Can’t make it to the venue? There’s good news for you too!

Popeyes does have a full spread of happenings planned for the music venue. There will be exclusive product drops, signature menu items, limited edition merch, and Surf Lodge-exclusive flight of dipping sauces. Does that last one mean the flight is exclusive or they’ll have exclusive dipping sauces? Because if it’s the latter then I may be inclined to take a trip down to try. Would Sporked cover my travel fees? If not, I’m sure a GoFundMe will do the trick.

Popeyes didn’t forget the rest of us, though! As promotion for the new tender tower, Popeyes will be offering their rewards members 12 tenders for $12. It’s mentioned as happening “for a limited time” so it seems to be best to get this deal sooner rather than later. Perfect timing for a Memorial Day feast! While Popeyes “encourages you to use this offer to build your own tower at home” I think any way you want to eat it will be just fine. I’ve yet to experience the wonders of a chicken tender tower. I do have an inkling though that it’s just relying on the novelty of it all rather than providing an actual benefit to the flavor. Who knows though―maybe altitude does add some secret sauce I’m not aware of. I’ll bring some Popeyes tenders on my next flight to test this hypothesis.
