It’s hard to imagine that one of Dolly Parton’s most iconic songs came from her participation in a movie, and it could have just as easily not been written had she not been a part of the film. Luckily for us, the film “9 to 5” starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton came together in a perfect storm, and Parton got struck with inspiration for her iconic song while on set.

From the click clack of her acrylic nails Parton heard the echoes of a typewriter, and thus the song “9 to 5” was born. From the very first lines of the song you’re hooked. She created an anthem for mundane workdays, and now there’s never been a better time to pour a cup of ambition of your own. Dolly Parton made sure that everyone can have a little more ambition in their lives through her partnership with Community Coffee, and we’re going to be able to buy it a week from now.

Pour Yourself A Cup Of Ambition

Although this might be at the top of our minds right now due to the recent passing of Dolly Parton on August 25, the coffee collection she released with Community Coffee actually isn’t new. In fact, the Cup of Ambition coffees began their availability throughout Dolly’s Tennesseean Truck Stop when it opened in June of this year. If you’ve already had the chance to stop by Dolly’s Tennesseean Truck Stop, then there’s a chance you’ve already tasted these brews.

But the plans for this launch were always to expand beyond the truck stop, and now that’s finally happening. Just weeks after Dolly Parton has died, we’re gonna be able to get our hands on our very own Cup of Ambition without going all the way to Tennessee.

This collection with Community Coffee has light, medium, and dark roast options for their flavors, and it is not about creating a limited-edition novelty product. This is going to be a more everlasting product like her Duncan Hines collection of baking mixes. Before her passing, Parton herself said that this product has been something she’s been working towards for over 40 years now. So our best guess is that those efforts won’t all be for a fleeting collaboration.

And just this past week, Community Coffee announced that they’re making good on their dedication to expanding access to this coffee beyond Parton’s truck stop and that it will be widely available to consumers starting September 29. As of now, we still haven’t had confirmation as to which stores it will be stocked in, but their press release from the initial collaboration said that we can expect the expansion of this partnership to include both coffee grounds and K-Cups to be available on a nationwide level.
