It’s no secret that we like Aldi’s food. It’s no secret that most people like Aldi’s food. The discount retailer has long shaken off the initial reputation many folks had for its food items, where they questioned whether products at that price could really be good quality, and it’s now known as a reliable place to pick up your weekly staples. We’ve even given certain Aldi foods garlands in our very own Sporked Awards – and we don’t do that lightly, people.

We’re not the only ones giving Aldi foods their flowers, either. In the 2026 Product Of The Year Awards, which recognized excellent food and home products across U.S. retailers (and which has so for over 30 years), three Aldi foods took the top spot in their respective categories. From breakfast foods to dinner drinks, miss these items at your peril.

We Have Our Winners!

Simply Nature Strawberry Granola Bites

Aldi’s Simply Nature Strawberry Granola Bites won out in the Product Of The Year Awards’ granola category (a very appropriate place for it to win, we think), and honestly, we get it. These granola bites are as good for a late morning snack as they are for a speedy breakfast. With five servings per container and coming in at $3.45, it’s also pretty cost-effective.

Elevation Ultra Flavored Milkshakes

Finding a protein shake that tastes good can be tough (trust us, we’ve tried a lot of ‘em), but Aldi delivers with its Elevation Ultra Flavored Milkshakes. These bottled shakes, which are a pretty clear dupe of Fairlife’s beverages, come in easygoing vanilla and chocolate flavors, and are perfect for chugging after the gym for those sick gains, bro.

Elliot Cooper Chardonnay

The quality of Aldi’s wine has to be seen – or chugged – to be believed. We’ve already deemed its HWY 5 California Pinot Noir one of the best things you can buy at the store, and now you can add its Elliot Cooper Chardonnay to that list, too. This light, bright, zesty wine has a smooth finish, and it’s the ideal partner for both lighter and slightly heavier, cream-based dishes. It’s an excellent midweek choice (and we’d say that it’s just as good on the weekend, too. Hey, we love wine any day of the week).

How Do I Know That These Products Are Actually Good?

Because they go through a pretty rigorous voting system, that’s how. According to the official rules, the items that make it to the top in the Product Of The Year Awards are first vetted by a team of press and industry pros, before they’re then passed on to customers to make the final call. A nationally representative survey conducted by Kantar, which uses the votes of approximately 40,000 consumers (who are evaluating products across various categories), then assesses which items are the most loved. If you ask us, that’s a pretty robust way of figuring it all out.
