Happy National Ice Cream Day! Or, rather, happy National Ice Cream Day in two days! On Sunday, July 19, those who celebrate National Ice Cream Day will assemble, spoons in hand, to rejoice in the creation of the frozen dessert. We would imagine that the ACTUAL number of people who mark the occasion is pretty small, given that not that many folks know it exists – but boy, do brands go for it. A couple of days ago, we brought you news of Yasso’s celebrations, and now, Protein Pints is getting involved.

Protein Pints’ Golden Pint Scavenger Hunt

Following hot on the heels of Protein Pints’ ice cream bar drop, the protein-focused brand is running its Golden Pint Scavenger Hunt in the lead-up to National Ice Cream Day. The vibe is as follows: Each day for three days at 11:00 AM EST, beginning July 16, Protein Pints will drop a hint on its social media channels about where select Golden Pints will be hidden in cities across the country. As the days count down, the clues will narrow from state to city to specific location. 

Then, on July 19, it’s time to hunt. If you’re the first person to actually find the Protein Pints team member holding the Golden Pint at the designated landmark that the clues point towards, you’ll win the GRAND PRIZE! And that grand prize is…$1,000! And you get free Protein Pints for the rest of the year. Not bad, right? 

Yeah, Not Bad – But What If I’m Not In A City With Golden Pints?

Well, you’ll still have a chance to win. Alongside its scavenger hunt, Protein Pints is also debuting an online game, “The Golden Pint,” on its website. Open to everyone in the continental US aged 18 or over, the game gives you a chance to find a Golden Pint in virtual form. If you do, you’ll be entered for a chance to win $1,000 and free Protein Pints from the comfort of your home. Protein Pints is also promising that everyone who plays the game will win a reward.
