Did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month? In case you needed any more reasons to stock up on it during the hot weather, there you go, there’s your motivation. For 31 days, we’re all encouraged, instructed, and sanctioned to eat as much ice cream as we can – by, of course, ice cream companies that see a canny opportunity to jump on top of it all.

Hey, we’re not complaining: If it gets people cheap or free ice cream, then we’re happy to relay the information. As such, here are the best ice cream deals you can grab throughout July.
Dairy Queen
Look, it literally has “dairy” in its name: This place is obviously going to lean into National Ice Cream Month. And lo, it has. Dairy Queen will be offering free Dilly bars from Monday, 13, to Sunday, 19, if you’re a Rewards member and if you spend a dollar or more at one of its restaurants. It ran this deal last year, and it was a big hit. Jump on it before it disappears. Full details here.
Baskin-Robbins
Baskin-Robbins is making everyone wait until the end of the month for its National Ice Cream Month deal, but once it arrives, it’s not bad at all. On the 31st, you can get 31% off all scoops at Baskin-Robbins stores. As is now custom everywhere, you have to be a Rewards member for this one, but we can think of worse results that come from tapping your phone a few times.
Dippin’ Dots
If you can stave off your hunger for Dippin’ Dots until July 19, you’ll be rewarded with a freebie. Small cups of Dippin’ Dots will be given out at its franchise locations during a two-hour window on that Sunday. Check out its website to make sure the location near you is taking part, and when the giveaway is operating.
Tillamook
We announced yesterday that Tillamook was offering interested parties a free crash course in ice cream vs frozen dairy dessert, and with it, it’s also giving out coupons for free Tillamook ice cream. This isn’t strictly a National Ice Cream Month deal, and it must also be pointed out that those coupons are now being shown as all gone. BUT. Given that it’s just landed, it might, juuuuust might, be worth checking back in July, to see if there’s a little boost.
Ben & Jerry’s
Again, not an official National Ice Cream Month offer here, but a fun one nonetheless. Ben & Jerry’s is touring the country this summer and giving out free ice cream bars on select weekends. In July, it’ll be in Miami and Los Angeles, and it’s visiting other places beyond that, too.
And The Rest?
Food companies like to announce their deals fairly close to the wire sometimes, so we haven’t yet seen any offers from the likes of Cold Stone Creamery, Wendy’s, Burger King, Friendly’s, or Amazon. There’s a chance they may never come, and this might be our lot – but keep an eye on those places to see what they offer up in the coming days and weeks.
