Shake Shack has a special place in my heart—there’s something so special about those smash burgers that just makes my mouth instantly water. I’ve been a fan for quite a long time and the menu just keeps getting better and better. Don’t even get me started about the pimento cheese they had on the menu for a bit (creamy, cheesy goodness) or the Dubai chocolate pistachio shake (yum).

Speaking of new additions, Shake Shack recently launched its new West Coast menu and it perfectly captures the flavor of California’s popular roadside burgers—think caramelized onions, punchy Secret Sauce, and fresh avocado.
What’s On Shake Shack’s New West Coast Menu?
The new West Coast menu consists of one burger, one sandwich, and two types of fries. Here’s a quick breakdown on what you’ll find:
- West Coast Burger ― A made-to-order quarter pound per patty of 100% Angus beef topped with American cheese, Shake Shack’s “secret sauce,” caramelized onions, honey mustard, and pickles served on a toasted potato bun. (Caramelized onions and honey mustard? Count me in.)
- West Coast Chicken Sandwich ― Antibiotic-free white-meat chicken breast topped with hand-sliced avocado, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream and onion sauce served on a toasted potato bun. (Avocado and chicken? Say no more.)
- West Coast Loaded Fries ― Crinkle-cut fries topped with melted cheddar and American cheese, caramelized onions, and Shake Shack’s “secret sauce.” This is for the cheese lovers with two different types of cheese.
- Spicy Fries with Ranch (optional cheese) ― Crispy crinkle-cut fries spiced with a hot pepper blend, topped with cheese sauce if desired, and served with Shack ranch for dipping. If you love ranch as much as I do, then this is for you.
When is Shack Shack’s West Coast Menu Available?
Now that you’re drooling (you’re welcome), you’ll want to know when this new menu is available. Lucky for you, it’s available right now. Beginning July 14th, you’ll find these new menu items at Shake Shack locations nationwide for a limited time. Oh, and as a professional foodie, I’d recommend ordering a milkshake for dipping fries—don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.
