PPer the trend experts, tiramisu is having a moment this year. Variant after variant of this bougie dessert are hitting our feeds with no end in sight. Even the flavor of tiramisu is blowing up across food and beverage. Shake Shack must have the same algorithm we do; the chain just brought back their tiramisu milkshake with a whole new twist: Biscoff Cookie Butter (and Biscoff cookie crumble, to boot).

While Shake Shack has tackled tiramisu in milkshake form before (initially in 2023 and as recently as this past January), this appears to be the burger chain’s first collaboration with Biscoff–and now that I mention it, Far lesser chains have been there and done that, so to speak.

Shake Shack invited me to meet with their culinary team at their NYC Innovation Kitchen so I could try the Biscoff Cookie Butter Tiramisu Shake with the very team that created the recipe. Let’s check out this decadent new offering from one of the best chains in the milkshake game.

Biscoff® Cookie Butter Tiramisu Shake

New Shake Shack Shake!

Pros: While many chains have done some kind of cookie butter shake, this may have set the bar too high for others to match… at the expense of something which we’ll get to in a moment. Shake Shack created such a rich, luxurious milkshake that I had to take a break halfway through to avoid the sudden urge to demolish a tight-knit community theatre for redevelopment. If you’re a cookie butter fan (and who isn’t?), you owe it to yourself to check this out.

Cons: I understand Biscoff comes first in the name, but I would have liked a bit more balance between the two flavors being presented here. While I haven’t been so personally blessed as to try a proper Biscoff Cookie Butter Tiramisu, I imagine there would be more of the quintessential coffee flavor than I found in this (very good!) milkshake.

Speaking of Biscoff, make sure you mix your Biscoff cookie crumble-topped whipped cream into your shake about halfway through your cup. Otherwise, you’ll end up with a densely cookie-flavored-and-textured whipped cream layer to suck up at the end of your milkshake experience–not the worst thing in the world, but the crumbly texture being better spread throughout might have helped deliver more of those missing tiramisu vibes I was looking for.
