With all the AI slop floating around, I feel weirdly proud of how often I use my high school graphic design education. When we need a visual for a not-yet-revealed product, I roll up my sleeves and scrub the WarHeads logo out of an old GHOST Energy render. When I need a graphic for my Instagram page, I use everything except the AI tools in Adobe Express. And when SPAM posts a sneak peek at an upcoming flavor on social media, I crank up the brightness and contrast on a screenshot to figure out what it is. None of those are hypothetical examples, and the last one happened just this week.

Videos by Sporked

Yes, a few days ago, SPAM posted a video of their newest flavor in deep shadow, claiming the can will be revealed on September 14th. While I could wait patiently for the big day (or politely email my pals at Hormel), I’ve never been afraid of a little detective work. All the other writers are waiting for SPAM to spoon-feed them the canned details; as for me, I opened up Photoshop and got to work. Let’s talk about what I discovered.

What is the next SPAM flavor?

With the power of this sliding bar, you can flip between my original and edited screenshots to discover the new flavor for yourself!

While SPAM is playing coy with the commenters “guessing” this specific flavor, there’s no arguing with the results. Based on the scientific application of increased brightness and contrast, I firmly believe Hot Honey SPAM is the next canned meat flavor hitting shelves from the best to ever do it. (Hot Honey SPAM Musubi is going to go absolutely nuts; I can’t wait.)

Is there any other evidence to suggest Hot Honey SPAM is real?

While I wholeheartedly believe Hot Honey SPAM is coming soon, there is a slim chance this is a red herring from a super-savvy social media team… Well, there was a slim chance, until I found SPAM Hot Honey listed on a Hormel catalog. That’s right, the image seen at the top of this article is a full-quality render straight from an official source. That same catalog entry features the ingredients, description, and basically every other detail you could ask for from a 100% real product. Hot Honey SPAM is coming; as for when it’s coming, that’s the one detail we will have to wait until September 14th for. Stay tuned, true believers.
