We taste A LOT of soda around here—believe me, our physicians and dentists aren’t pleased—but when we narrowed it down to the best soda we tried in all of 2025, the whole Sporked team agreed that Sprite Chill Cherry Lime was the standout. It tastes like a Cherry Lime Rickey minus the gin. Or like the top two sections of a bomb pop, but refreshing, fizzy, and drinkable. We hoped and prayed it would return for Summer 2026, but something even better happened: Sprite Chill Cherry Lime is already back in stores (it’s a permanent fixture in the Sprite lineup now) and it’s being joined by three new Sprite Chill flavors.

Hey wait a sec—what is Sprite Chill

Good question, because it isn’t just a flavor. Sprite Chill actually got its name because it includes special cooling agents that produce a cooling effect while you sip, without tasting like menthol or mint. The sensation definitely isn’t dramatic—you’re likely drinking this soda cold as it is—but it’s a fun novelty.

Okay, now tell me about these new Sprite Chill flavors

Last year, Sprite Chill Cherry Lime was joined by Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi, but only for a limited time. And just last month we discovered that yet another Sprite Chill flavor—Sprite Chill Mango Citrus—was joining the lineup. Now, we hear that Strawberry Kiwi is coming back in mid-May and two more Sprite Chill flavors are coming down the pike, too: Sprite Chill Lemon Mint and Sprite Chill Berry

Before you get too excited, be aware that caveats abound. For one thing, Sprite Chill Mango Citrus is only available at Walmart stores. That said, it’s worth seeking out. As Sporked soda critic Tyler Bowers wrote in his glowing review, “The notes of mango and lemon-lime blend together perfectly—each is distinct without one overpowering the other. It’s perfectly capped off by the iconic ‘chilling’ effect of Sprite Chill.” Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi is heading back to stores in mid-May, but it will only be available for a limited time. And that Sprite Chill Lemon Mint? Well, that’s going to be the real toughie to get your hands on. As of now, it’s only available in Pakistan and, according to our own Griffin Parker, there’s no indication it will be released in the states any time soon—or ever.

Last but not least, there’s Sprite Chill Berry. That’s the real question mark. Imagery of a can was unveiled at a recent brand refresh reveal, but there’s no info as yet about where or when we (or anyone) will be able to sip this new Sprite.

In the meantime, try the Cherry Lime and Mango Citrus—they’re Sporked approved!

Gwynedd Stuart

Howdy! I’m Gwynedd, Sporked’s managing editor. I live in Los Angeles and have access to the best tacos the U.S. has to offer—but I’m a sucker for a crunchy Old El Paso taco night every now and then. I’ve been at Sporked since 2022 and I’m still searching frozen mozzarella sticks that can hold a candle to restaurant sticks. Why you should trust me: I’ve been a journalist for 20 years (yikes), a consumer of food for 40-plus years, and I’m truly hard pressed to think of foods I don’t like (or that I can’t tolerate at the very least). Oh and one time I cooked my way through Guy Fieri’s cookbook and wrote about the journey through Flavortown. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s Original Savory Thins. Fat free plain yogurt (usually Fage or Nancy’s). Honeycrisp apples. Sweet cream coffee creamer for my at-home Americanos. A frozen cauliflower crust pizza and some jarred mushrooms to top it with. Old El Paso Stand ‘N Stuff taco shells and Gardein Ground Be’f, even though I think “be’f” is a nightmarish contraction. Favorite ranking: Stouffer’s frozen dinners. I don’t own a microwave (I get my cancers the old fashioned way!), so I love taste testing things that I don’t really buy to eat at home. Least favorite ranking: Soy sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I love soy sauce—but consuming that much sodium in one sitting is probably illegal in some countries. Our frozen enchilada taste test was a close second; the smell of microwaved corn tortillas still haunts me.
