I’m the voice of the people. While I may have my own bias on what I believe the best Taco Bell menu item to be, I’m putting that to rest for the time being. This is the absolute best Taco Bell menu item after all, not just my personal best. I went where everyone goes to hear from the people: straight to Reddit.

What’d they have to say about it?

The absolute best Taco Bell menu item, according to Reddit, is the Quesarito. It’s not hard to see why this one tops the charts. The Quesarito is made with seasoned beef, seasoned rice, chipotle sauce, and reduced-fat sour cream. That’s then wrapped inside a grilled quesadilla that’s packed with melted cheese and nacho cheese sauce. It’s easy to see why this was the favorite. It’s a sensation. It’s a Midwesterner’s dream (dairy to the max). To know the Quesarito is to know a true blessing.

Astute Taco Bell fans will notice one critical error with these findings though. The Quesarito is, in fact, a discontinued item at Taco Bell. This is awkward. Then again, who’s to say we can’t still celebrate a fallen soldier? A beloved menu item that is no more (for the time being) can still reign in our hearts. Plus, no one is saying it can’t come back one day. When it does, we’ll be ready.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility!

Taco Bell likes to truly torture Quesarito fans. They won’t flat out leave it on the menu forever, but they also won’t just discontinue it for eternity so you can finally move on with your life. No, they choose the twisted middle option where they keep adding it to the menu then removing it again. What a sick, sick thing to do.

Is it all futile then? Should we just give up on Taco Bell? You don’t have to. Other chart toppers that were shared on Reddit (that are still available) were the Cheesy Gordita Crunch, the Chili Cheese Burrito, and the Crunchwrap Supreme. It’s hard to beat the Crunchwrap Supreme. Sadly, I had to do a lot of scrolling past some real bangers to get that list together. The graves of Taco Bell dishes past are mighty abundant.

For now, we’ll make do with what we have. Just know that we will be counting every passing day until we get to share the good news of the Quesarito’s return. My mouth will be watering until I get to taste it once more.
