Anyone who shops at Aldi loves to flaunt just how wonderful their experiences always are and for good reason. The chain does have some pretty sweet perks. Most of the food is far less expensive than the same exact stuff at your local supermarket (unless your local supermarket is, in fact, Aldi), the checkout employees are some of the fastest scanners around, and you’re never overwhelmed with hundreds of options. One of the things you notice about Aldi almost immediately is the lack of popular brand-name items you find at bigger chains. But that doesn’t mean you can’t find what you’re looking for. Aldi carries a ton of copycat products that taste nearly identical to the bigger brands for a fraction of the cost. And sometimes if you’re lucky, you’ll find an affordable version that’s even better than the brand name you know and love. There’s one Aldi candy in particular that has Reddit users claiming it tastes shockingly far superior to the huge brand you will most definitely recognize.

Step Aside Reese’s, There’s A New Peanut Butter Cup In Town

Yes, you read that right. According to Reddit, Reese’s has a peanut butter cup contender that’s slapped on some boxing gloves and stepped into the ring ready to rumble. After reading the Reddit comments, you can’t help but think Aldi peanut butter cups are the real deal. One user wrote, “You guys weren’t kidding about the peanut butter cups…. I thought, how good can they be, really? And I bought a bag. And it sat on top of the refrigerator for about three or four weeks. And then I finally opened it and had one. I’m a former smoker, and back in my heyday. I could go through a pack or a pack and a half if not two packs of Camel non-filters in a night out. I do believe these are more dangerous.” 

Tons of other Redditors shared the same sentiment. One user converted their Reese’s-obsessed friend, saying, “I told a friend of mine who loves peanut butter cups as much as I do, that they’re better than Reese’s. He didn’t believe me so I bought him a bag. He’ll never doubt my recommendations on chocolate and peanut butter combinations again.” The comments go on and on, with several people mentioning how Reese’s doesn’t hold a candle to this Aldi dupe.
