Costco is a value shopper’s dream grocery store. Where else can you fill your entire pantry with jarred marinara sauce for less than $20? Or find containers of Peanut M&M’s so big that they’ll last you at least a month? From its meat selection to its made-fresh-daily bakery, your local Costco is a treasure trove of grocery finds.

But it can be tricky to stick to your budget at Costco—especially if you don’t stop at the food court first and let your hunger get the best of you. It is possible to grab groceries at Costco for under $10. The trick is knowing which options offer excellent value for that $10 or less price so you can make the most out of every store trip (and parking lot battle).
Kirkland Signature Organic Greek Yogurt ($7.49)
If stopping hunger in its tracks is your priority while picking budget-friendly groceries, you’ve got to add Costco’s Kirkland Signature Organic Greek Yogurt to your cart on your next warehouse visit. This Greek yogurt may be simple, with no added flavor, fruit, or toppings, but it’s so handy to have in your fridge. Everyone in my household reaches for it for breakfast―as a smoothie add-in, as a snack, or even as a sour cream alternative.
Stock your fridge with this Greek yogurt and you’ll get so much value. In fact, it disappears so quickly I often buy two. Cook with it, turn it into a tasty dip, or even use it as a marinade. Every time you spoon it into a meal or snack, you’ll get an impressive 18 grams of protein for your money, too.
Kirkland Signature Organic Diced Tomatoes ($9.99)
Yes, this is another totally boring pick. And it’s no ready-made meal, either. But Costco’s Kirkland Signature Organic Diced Tomatoes are a pantry essential that you can transform into so many different meals that I never pass them up when I’m shopping. For just $10, you’ll get eight cans—or eight different options for tomato-based meals.
I most frequently reach for these tomatoes when I’m making tomato sauce or burrito bowl filling, but you can do pretty much anything with them. Turn them into a homemade pizza sauce, add them into casseroles, use them in chili, or even add them to soup. Or break them out in a pinch when you need diced tomatoes for a salad and you’re lacking fresh ones. They’re endlessly versatile.
King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls ($7.48)
Yes, you can get plenty of different kinds of bread at Costco, but my go-to is always a 32-pack of King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. These little slider-sized rolls make the perfect sandwich bread with a slightly sweet twist, packing a flavor punch in addition to a whole lot of bread for their under-$8 price.
While you can grab this pack of sweet rolls for parties, I keep them on hand in my pantry for everyday use. You can turn them into breakfast sandwiches, use them for kid-sized lunch sandwiches, or make dinner a slider affair (I love the trick of slicing the entire pack and making sliders in one go in the oven). Or, eat them solo as a side—their iconic sweetness makes them hard to resist in any form.
Kirkland Signature Organic Hummus ($7.89)
Make snacking a breeze for under $8 with Kirkland Signature’s Organic Hummus cups. Sold in a pack of 20 2.5-ounce cups, you can rip one open to dip your favorite hummus side right in. These cups may be little, but the chickpea-based hummus inside is satisfying, hunger-satiating, and perfectly creamy. In my opinion, it’s a well-balanced hummus that’s just the right amount of garlicky and lemony.
Don’t need small single-serve cups? You can also pick up a giant 34oz tub of this exact hummus for just $5.89. It’s great for parties, but that tub also works wonders if you want to dip your pita, chips, or veggies right in or use the hummus as a sandwich topping.
Kirkland Signature Extra-Crispy French Fries ($5.89)
Frozen French fries are always a must, especially if you love whipping up a “fast food at home” dinner that’s ready quickly. But frozen fries can fall short in both flavor and crispiness—I’ve just never had that happen with Kirkland Signature’s Extra-Crispy French Fries.
For just under $6, you can pick up this 5-pound bag of fries so you always have plenty on hand to toss in the oven or air fryer. No matter how you cook them, they always turn out perfectly crunchy and salty. I love using them as a quick side for staples like burgers and nuggets, but I’ll also rely on them to make carne asada fries (or even a carnitas version that comes together in minutes with ready-to-eat Costco pork).
Stōk Cold Brew Coffee ($8.99)
Coffee is always a good buy at Costco, but now that the warehouse giant is stocking Stōk, I often skip the beans in favor of this two-bottle pack of cold brew. It makes mornings so simple if you’re a cold brew lover like I am—just crack open a bottle, pour over ice, and enjoy a smooth, never-bitter jolt of caffeine.
Priced at just $8.99, it’s a total steal compared to many other (far worse-tasting) cold brew choices. Plus, you can transform it into other beverages, too, if you’re something of a home barista. Just be warned: this Costco pick is so popular, it often sells out fast and can be out of stock when you head to your local warehouse.
