The Best Things We Ate This Week April 24-28

Every week, the Sporked team sidles up to the tasting table and sets out to find the absolute best of the best packaged foods, the gold hidden in the grocery aisles. Each week we’ll bring you five standouts that truly rocked our taste buds and changed our lives—or at least our buying habits. Here are the best things we ate this week.

Poppi Ginger Lime Prebiotic Soda

We ended up loving most of the flavors of Poppi, but Ginger Lime was one of our favorites. It’s perfect on its own and would be great as a cocktail or a mocktail. It’s light, citrusy, and the hint of ginger is just right. In terms of prebiotic, gut-health sodas, we’re buying Poppi.

Popsicle Brand Sugar Free Tropicals (Caribbean Fruit Punch)

This is one of very few sugar-free products I’ve ever tried that doesn’t taste like chemicals. These are so so so delicious. They’re fruity, sweet, and taste all-natural. Eating one of these makes me feel like I’m sitting at the beach on a lounger and not working in the Sporked office at my standing desk.

Wholly Guacamole Avocado Verde

Store-bought guacamole can be pretty bad (although, we’ve found some good ones), and I vow to never buy it again. Avocado “salsa,” on the other hand, is stellar. Wholly Guacamole’s Avocado Verde is everything you want from guac minus all the bad stuff about premade guac (the browning, the citric acid, the stringy pieces of avocado, etc.). You could put this in a burrito or use it as a dip for parties. Either way, you will be happy you ditched grocery store guac.

White Fudge Flipz

What is white fudge? I don’t know! What I do know is that Flipz are delicious, and this white fudge version trumps any white chocolate thing I’ve ever tasted. The coating is thick and rich, and the pretzel is crunchy and salty. What more could you want in a snack? Love you, Flipz!

Artisan Bistro Chicken Burrito

The name? Bad. The packaging? Boring. The taste? Incredible!!! Artisan Bistro may need a facelift, but it’s what’s inside that really counts and the inside is delectable. It’s hearty, savory, and full of big pieces of chicken. This is way better and cheaper than a fast food burrito. Buy these!
