This Vegan Ice Cream Is So Good No One Can Tell It’s Vegan

Nothing says summer like a berry crumble, except maybe ice cream, so imagine how excited I was when I found Planet Oat Blueberry Oat Crumble Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert.

This ice cream is the perfect hot weather ice cream—but it’s not ice cream at all. It’s “non-dairy frozen dessert.” I adore this plant based frozen dessert option because you cannot tell that it’s plant based. Anyone, even the most annoying vegan food hater, would love this vegan ice cream.

Planet Oat claims this has an “out-of-this world rich and creamy texture,” and they’re right. The base tastes like any milk or cream-based ice cream. There’s a nice, light vanilla flavor that pairs beautifully with the mix-ins. There are bits of oat crumble that are almost like streusel. They add a great crunch. Last but not least, the blueberry jam swirl is tart and sweet. It cuts through the rich vanilla ice cream. It’s perfect. 10/10. No notes.
