The Wendy’s Iced Coffee We Wish Would Come To The U.S.

It’s no news that a lot of people in the U.S. are obsessed with matcha and some can’t go a day without a cup of iced coffee. So naturally, a drink that combines the two sounds like something that would be an instant hit stateside. The only problem is: Wendy’s decided to roll out this mashup halfway across the world.

Since the beginning of June 2026, Wendy’s Philippines has been serving up a new matcha iced coffee combo. But American fans can only admire it from afar and wonder why they’re missing out on what might be Wendy’s most exciting coffee drink yet.

Iced Coffee + Matcha = The Dream

On June 1st, Wendy’s Philippines announced the release of the Matcha Frosty Coffee. The green tea-and-coffee combo starts with brewed coffee and gets topped with a generous swirl of Matcha Frosty, creating a drink that blends earthy green tea notes with the bold flavor of coffee. The beverage is priced at ₱129 ($2.10) and is currently listed among Wendy’s Philippines’ coffee offerings alongside Frosty Coffee, Black Iced Coffee, and other specialty drinks.  

Matcha has been trending for awhile and it was only a matter of time before someone got the bright idea to add the fan-favorite to iced coffee. Still, coffee aficionados may balk at adding tea to their iced coffee. If that’s the case, the next matcha lineup might be more up your alley.

It Joins Wendy’s New Matcha Frosty

The Matcha Frosty Coffee isn’t arriving alone. Wendy’s Philippines recently expanded its matcha lineup with the launch of the Matcha Frosty, a frozen treat made by blending a Vanilla Frosty base with pure matcha. The dessert is available in multiple sizes and starts at ₱65 ($1.06). 

Together, the Matcha Frosty and Matcha Frosty Coffee give customers two different ways to enjoy the trendy green tea flavor, either as a spoonable dessert or as a caffeinated drink.

Will The U.S. Ever Get It?

Unfortunately for Americans, the Matcha Frosty Coffee has not made its way stateside. And it’s only available for a limited time. Both the Matcha Frosty and Matcha Frosty Coffee are currently available only at select Wendy’s Philippines locations for a limited time. Customers can also order them through Foodpanda, GrabFood, or directly through Wendy’s Philippines’ online store.

This isn’t the first time Wendy’s has made an international release we desperately need. And it probably won’t be the last. While we’re hoping the Matcha Frosty Coffee eventually finds its way to the U.S., for now we can only admire the delicious drink. But maybe if fans are just loud enough, these two matcha finds could come our way.
