Trader Joe’s Parmesan Tapenade: Spotted and Reviewed on Reddit

I’m going to be the first to admit that I don’t really give tapenade the time of day it deserves. That’s not because I have anything against it – I really don’t, I love it! It’s just one of those things that I never think to buy, much to the disappointment of my palate and its love of salty, briny, umami-packed options.

The mere sight of a new Parmesan tapenade at Trader Joe’s, though, has made me reassess my relationship with this spread, and what it could be. And guess what: The people who have tried it love it. Here’s the scoop.

Trader Joe’s Parmesan Tapenade: It’s A Hit!

This Trader Joe’s item is so new that it hasn’t even appeared on its website yet – but when has that ever stopped Redditors from getting ahead of the curve and giving their thoughts? Over on the message board site, one Reddit user posted their review of the store’s new Parmesan Tapenade. “Just tried the Parmesan Tapenade and it is GOOD,” they said, before going on to state that in the body of the post that it was slightly spicy, garlicky, and the cheese is so tasty.”

Judging by its ingredients, we would expect it to be all of those things, too. Trader Joe’s Parmesan Tapenade is made with shredded parm, olives, jalapeños, garlic, and herbs, all tied together with oil. If that isn’t a recipe for pure flavor, we don’t know what is. Another person in the post confirmed that it was indeed a success, commenting, “Grabbed today, opened it while making dinner. It’s so good! Ready to buy another tub or make my own.” Our favorite comment, though, definitely has to go to the person who suggested using it on pizza dough instead of red sauce. We need it. We need it now.

Trader Joe’s has spent much of the last few months teasing and releasing new items that we’re determined to get our hands on at the first possible opportunity, such is its innate ability to put a spin on snacks and desserts we didn’t know we needed. A couple of days back, we discussed the Korean-style potato cheese sticks that seem to be on their way to the store, and the return of its Passion Fruit Meringue Tartelettes. It’s also brought out Strawberry Brioche Style Liège Waffles as part of its weekly new item drop, which are a twist on its regular waffles and which we would like to try imminently.

Oh, and we’ve also got almost 20 new stores on the way. This supermarket never sleeps, guys. If you’ve tried this new tapenade, we wanna hear from ya.
