Trader Joe’s Is Releasing an All New Flavor of Their Beloved Tiramisu

Trader Joe’s makes a good tiramisu. We’re not just saying that; we do stand behind it. We’ve been singing the virtues of Trader Joe’s Italian Tiramisu since 2023, when we did a taste-test of the dessert and gave it a 9/10. Yes, the store might say it takes a wild eight hours to defrost before it’s fully ready to eat, but – spoiler alert – you can dig into it way before that, and you’ll be rewarded with a dense, full-flavored dessert.

Well, it looks like TJ’s is now diversifying, and we’re very excited to give its upcoming new version a spin. A keen-eyed shopper recently spotted signs of a new Lemon Tiramisu in the store, and it’s what we need this summer. Here’s the breakdown.

Trader Joe’s Lemon Tiramisu: Fact, Not Fiction

News of Trader Joe’s’ new Lemon Tiramisu landed a couple of weeks ago on Reddit. A shopper posted a picture of the wrapper for its new tiramisu in its new arrival section, which was displayed with no further information accompanying it. The Redditor then asked an employee about the wrapper, and the employee confirmed that it was coming soon. 

Said employee couldn’t tell the shopper exactly when it would arrive, but given that this package is very real (unless it’s all an AI mockup, honestly, it’s hard to tell these days), we wouldn’t imagine that it’ll take too long before it arrives. According to the front of the package, the tiramisu will contain layers of mascarpone cheese, ladyfinger biscuits, and lemon, and will be made with natural flavors. Like its classic tiramisu, each pack will contain two individual servings. There’s no sign of how much it’ll cost yet, but as the Italian Tiramisu costs $5.99, we’d imagine it’ll be around that price point.

Are People Excited? Of Course They’re Excited

In the Reddit post that leaked the arrival of the Lemon Tiramisu, the fine people in the comment section were quick to say how much they were looking forward to it. “I love me some lemon desserts so I’ll deffo be trying this,” said one Redditor, with another saying, “I love the original, but this looks good too.” Over at @traderjoesgeek on Instagram, which also discussed its imminent arrival, people voiced their excitement over the new product.

Until it finally drops, though, we’re just gonna have to make do with the other TJ’s goodies that are on its shelves. Trader Joe’s Passion Fruit Meringue Tartelettes have just landed back in stores for another spin, and they are quite frankly perfect for spring, with a combination of sharpness and smoothness that shocks you into a new appreciation of the awakening natural world around you. That sounds like hyperbole, but they’re really good, people – and they won’t be around for long.
