Greek yogurt is a staple in my household. We eat it for breakfast pretty much every day. If you wanted to, you could call us freaks for Greek. That said, I was pretty unfamiliar with the Greek yogurt Aldi offers. There’s a lot, from big ol’ tubs of organic Aldi Greek yogurt that’ll set you back almost six bucks to individual cups of Aldi nonfat Greek yogurt that cost a mere 59 cents.
I bought pretty much every yogurt I could find at our local Aldi and tasted them all back to back. The flavored Greek yogurts won out. (The plain Greek yogurt is fine, but not remarkable enough to rank.) Here is the best Aldi Greek yogurt you can buy, according to a Greek freak.
- Friendly Farms Fat Free Greek Yogurt Tropical Fruit
-
These 100 calorie cups of Aldi Greek yogurt have about half the sugar as the cups of nonfat Aldi Greek yogurt (see #3), but they are much sweeter because they contain sucralose. The tropical fruit flavor is very sweet, but it works. Other flavors taste too weird and saccharine, but this one is very pineapple forward. You can definitely taste that lingering artificial sweetness on the finish, but it’s tolerable.

- Friendly Farms Nonfat Greek Yogurt Strawberry on the Bottom
-
I don’t totally understand fruit-at-the-bottom yogurt (why do people want to stir their own yogurt?), but this Aldi nonfat Greek yogurt is nice, mostly because it doesn’t taste like nonfat yogurt. It’s rich and tangy, and the strawberry fruit puree in the bottom of the cup tastes more genuine to me than some of the other flavors. It’s very bright and fresh and gives the yogurt plenty of flavor without making it sickeningly sweet. If you like fruity yogurt, you’ll like this. Definitely buy the strawberry version of this Aldi Greek yogurt over blueberry or black cherry (and that’s coming from a black cherry fanatic).

- Friendly Farms Whole Milk Greek Yogurt Key Lime
-
I’m a sucker for citrus-flavored yogurt (see: our flavored Greek yogurt ranking), and this key lime Aldi Greek yogurt is practically perfect. The yogurt is rich and the tang of the yogurt really pairs nicely with the tang of the key lime—key limes are sweeter and less acidic than other limes, so this isn’t just a tang bomb. It’s really pleasant to eat! It would be great with crushed up graham crackers or a honey-laced granola. If you buy your Greek yogurt in little cups, this is some of the best Greek yogurt Aldi offers.

- Specially Selected Indulgent Greek Honey Vanilla Yogurt
-
If you’re going to buy Aldi vanilla Greek yogurt, you should just go ahead and buy this Aldi honey vanilla greek yogurt instead. It absolutely rules. Every now and then I taste an Aldi product that is an exact dupe for a more expensive brand name product (for instance, I swear their Specially Selected Premium Marinara is a dead ringer for Rao’s more expensive marinara); this honey vanilla yogurt tastes exactly the Greek Gods Honey Vanilla Yogurt, which is one of the best vanilla yogurts we tried in our taste test. Specially Selected Indulgent Greek Honey Vanilla Yogurt is basically like a creme brulee custard. It’s so rich and creamy and has a rich, toasted vanilla flavor. It’s higher in fat than other Greek yogurts on our list, but this stuff is worth it. This is the best Aldi Greek yogurt you can buy.
