Oh no! It’s Valentine’s Day! Did it sneak up on you like it did on us? Don’t fret, though. If you live in the vicinity of a Trader Joe’s you still have time to buy a (cheap) Valentine’s Day gift for whoever deserves one in your life. Here’s our picks for the best last minute Trader Joe’s Valentine’s Day gifts.

Medium Phalaenopsis Orchid in Ceramic ($14.99 each)

These lovely orchids are fully in bloom and sold in a white, pink, or dark rose ceramic pot. So, even if your lover has a black thumb rather than a green one and immediately kills the plant, they’ll still have a great pot. If your honey isn’t really into blossoms, try a few mini succulents instead.

Peony Scented Bath Fizz ($4.99)

These limited time sparkly pink flower-shaped bath fizzes smell like fragrant flowers. Each fizz includes shimmering mica powder along with kaolin clay and cocoa butter for soft skin.

Almost a Kilo of Belgian Chocolate Bars ($14.99)

That box of chocolates can go scratch. Truly prove your love with this hefty collection of chocolate bars. You get three massive bars in each pack: dark chocolate with sea salt, milk chocolate studded with dried corn, and dark chocolate with crunchy caramel. (For those who aren’t fluent in metric, a kilo is over two pounds!)

Sour Strawberry Candy Belts ($3.49)

Get the sour candy lover in your life a case full of these new strawberry flavored sour strips. Bonus: They’re vegan!

Espada Pequeña Mezcal ($20.99)

If you’re looking for a bottle of booze for you bae, Trader Joe’s mezcal is the way to go (it’s one of our best cheap mezcals). If they’re more of a whiskey type, try the Kentucky bourbon instead. It’s pretty darn good too.

Sugar Cookie Dough Hearts ($3.99)

Want to go the “homemade” route? These ready-to-bake sugar cookies feature little pink hearts in the middle. Technically, you baked these cookies in an oven. And the oven is in your home. That counts as homemade.

About the Author

Justine Sterling

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
