It’s a beautiful time of the year! No, I’m not talking about fresh beginnings and New Year’s resolutions and all that jazz. What I want to talk about is that fresh wad of dough you got from your family for Christmas and what you’re going to spend it on. Wait, what’s that? You don’t get a big ol’ check from a wealthy aunt or grandpa every year? Well, just the same, we’re heading to Costco, land of $1.50 hot dog combos and $5 rotisserie chickens, and treating ourselves to some groceries. Rich relations or none, you gotta eat, right? Whether you’re splurging because you have holiday cash burning a hole in your pocket or you’re trying to get the most out of your post-holiday budget by buying in bulk, here’s what to buy at Costco this month.
- Kirkland Signature Cinnamon Chip Muffins
-
Breaking news from the Costco bakery! There’s been a shakeup in their muffin distribution. You used to be able to get two packs of six gargantuan muffins for $10. Costco has now shrunk the muffins and is selling them in packs of eight for $7. No mixing and matching involved! That’s great news for everyone out there who wasn’t convinced that a muffin the size of the Hulk’s fist could fit in their stomach (understandable, tbh). Grab a pack and try these much more reasonably sized muffins, maybe for the first time!

- Kirkland Signature French Toast Bagels

More Costco bakery news! While this is a little less earth shattering than the muffin change-up, it’s still worth talking about: A new Costco bagel has joined the chat! French toast bagels, to be exact. They have a cinnamon and brown sugar swirl and maple flavor baked in. Toasted and buttered, they’ll scratch that French toast itch and you don’t have to dredge slices of bread in egg or anything.

- Tattooed Chef Organic Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry
-
I lied… we’re getting into New Year’s resolutions now. It’s hard to eat enough veggies every single day! Make it a little easier by substituting your usual Chinese takeout fried rice with this cauliflower version instead. There’s veggies on veggies on veggies in this honkin’ bag from Costco. I’m not one to clear out the snacks from my kitchen on January 1, but making an easy swap like this sounds more appealing.

- Innofoods Garden Crisp Crackers
-
I didn’t make an “in and out” for 2025 list. If I had, I’d have put “hosting more parties” under “in.” Having friends come over is fun! And it’s one less night you have to leave your house. A true win-win. Parties need snack tables and snack tables need crackers. Ritz are so 2024. Garden Crisp Crackers from Costco are 2025! They’re more exciting, more flavorful, and they can do all the heavy lifting if you can’t find any of our favorite dips to pair them with.

- Delici Speculoos Cookie Butter Mousse Cups
-
Yikes! It was getting too healthy for a moment there. Don’t worry, I’m still in favor of indulging in the new year. We’re going to make sure of that with these new speculoos cookie butter mousse cups. Which I actually did buy and am eating right now. Y’all. This is heaven in a cup. The filling is light like a mousse but it manages to pack so much irresistible speculoos flavor. I’ll see you at Costco when I go back for more.

- Wow Bao Teriyaki Chicken Bao
-
You know them, you love them, and now they’re at Costco. Teriyaki chicken bao buns by the dozen. That’s what dreams are made of. These beauties are microwave ready so you can stash them away in the back of the freezer in the break room at work for easy snacking. You might want to lock them up or something so Steve from accounting doesn’t sneak a few out of the bag before you get to them.
