If Aldi’s place as a convenient grocery store was ever being questioned, they’re using this week to silence their haters. I think Aldi gets dismissed as a grocery store you just go to for your basic needs. Cheap eggs, flour, and the like. They’re not as well known for their fun, ready-to-eat items like you might find at Trader Joe’s. That view is getting thrown out of the window as of now. This week they’re bringing five new items that you’ll actually find yourself being excited to just pull out of the kitchen and dig into!

ALDI Seasoned Dill Pickle French Fries ($3.49; 7/8)

Aldi’s new dill pickle seasoned french fries are such an easy way to level up your chicken nuggie plate at dinnertime. All you have to do is throw them in the oven or airfryer and enjoy. No extra seasoning, no overloading your salt levels. Just stupidly simple and I love Aldi for giving us this experience.

Mama Cozzi’s Detroit Style Crust Pizza ($6.99; 7/8)

Detroit style pizza is taking over the country and I am here for the revolution. If done correctly! I recently tried Trader Joe’s version and it didn’t quite live up to what it should have been. I’m hoping that Aldi took notes and pumped things up for their version that’s coming to stores this week. I guess we’ll have to get it and find out.

ALDI Seoul Mix Veggies or Quinoa Veggie Blend ($4.29; 7/8)

A veggie blend in the freezer is a real no-brainer. You can never go a week without asking yourself “well I have this for dinner but what else should I throw on the plate?” The obvious answer is always a veggie blend that you heat up in a pinch. Aldi clearly subscribes to this theory because they’re giving us two new options to choose from: a Seoul mix with veggies and legumes in a gochujang sauce and a quinoa veggie blend.

Southern Grove Stuffed Dates ($4.99; 7/8)

Wow. What a powerful way to get some added fiber while filling you up. Aldi’s stocking two versions of these nut-stuffed dates this week. You can get a bag with assorted almond and cashew stuffed dates or a bag of only almonds that are also dipped into dark chocolate. Snacking never felt so satisfying!

Sundae Shoppe Grape or Watermelon Fruit Bars ($3.79; 7/8)

Frozen fruit bars that’ll cool you right down! These would be perfect to pull out for an afternoon by the pool. If you have access to a pool. So make sure you’re on good terms with your neighbor before you get these from Aldi. While I do wish we had a few more options to choose from, Aldi’s currently only stocking these fruit bars in grape or watermelon. Hopefully they do well enough to garner a few more being added to the lineup.
