We all know Pepperidge Farm makes grown-up, formal cookies. “This little treat will convince all my friends I don’t scarf down Oreos like a commoner,” we all say while tossing bags into our cart for our holiday parties. If I had to pick one comparatively underserved cookie category from P.F. to date, it’d be fruit. Sure, some of the offshoot cookies like Linzer and Verona are packed with jam, but the king of the classy cookie mountain hasn’t gotten too fruity—until recently.
Last year, Pepperidge Farm launched a new line of Milano cookies to better serve the fruit-fervent audience. A few days ago, we got word of a brand new entry in this genre; get ready for Mango White Chocolate Milano cookies to take you to paradise.
Wait, there are white chocolate Milano cookies?
This is old news, gang. Precisely one year ago at the time of this writing, our own Jessica Block delivered the big news: Pepperidge Farm released three white chocolate Milano variants. Specifically, the world was blessed with Strawberry, Lemon, and Coconut White Chocolate Milano cookies! We reviewed them a few weeks later, to unanimous approval, AND the Coconut flavor even walked away with a W in our annual Sporked Awards! The line must have made a good impression on the general public, too, since we’re here a full 12 months later talking about a fourth entry in this new sub-subgenre of Pepperidge Farm’s cookie lineup.
While I’m on record as Sporked‘s resident mango hater, I can’t pretend I’m not curious to see how the delicate Milano cookie handles the bright, strong flavor of mango. Will it be my new favorite Milano? I doubt it; those holiday-season Amaretto Hot Chocolate cookies have had a strong grip on my heart for a long time. Still, I’m looking forward to checking these out and giving y’all a full rundown as soon as my samples come in.
Where can I get Mango White Chocolate Milano cookies?
Per the folks (farmers?) at Pepperidge Farm, these will be available wherever a wide variety of Milano cookies is sold. You should be able to find them at Walmart, Kroger, and, of all places, Target. Seriously, Target has a robust Pepperidge Farm cookie selection—fitting, since people who grocery shop at Target likely have a higher cookie budget than the average consumer. Keep your eyes here on Sporked for news about three more Pepperidge Farm variants coming soon.
