Are you even ready for all the new Hershey’s candy hitting stores for Easter? Because I’ve got five words for you: mini cream-filled Cadbury Eggs. That might be four words, technically. I don’t know. I don’t care. I just want the damn egg. *picks up Easter Bunny and shakes him* Give me the tiny cream-filled eggs!!!
Ariana. That’s animal abuse.
The Easter Bunny is a sentient mythical creature who’s way more powerful than me, okay? And given all the new Hershey’s candy dropping for his literal birthday, you know that bunny’s got a heavy equity stake in Hersheyland, which makes him not only magical but a greedy little capitalist, too. I feel no shame.
Anyways, let’s take a look at all the returning and new Easter candy coming to pastel-colored candy aisles near you!
What’s new:
- Cadbury Mini Creme Egg: chocolate candy eggs with a soft fondant center
- Cadbury Mini Caramel Egg: chocolate candy eggs with caramel center
- Jolly Rancher Gummies Fruity Mix: Pineapple, Grape, Watermelon, Peach, Blue Raspberry
Yep, new Jolly Rancher gummies are on the docket, too. We’ve already got new Heat Wave Jolly Rancher Gummies coming out, which are supposed to be spicy-sweet (“swicy”), but it looks like this spring release will be an extension of more classic fruity flavors. I’m personally stoked for peach—they used to make peach Jolly Ranchers forever ago, but discontinued them in 2012. Here’s hoping they live up to the nostalgia.
What’s returning:
- Cadbury Royal Dark Mini Eggs
- Harry Potter Butterbeer Kisses (controversial, yes, but they sure do taste good)
- Kit Kat Bunnies (the snack size)
- Hershey’s Polka Dot Cookies ’n’ Creme Eggs
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Assortment: Eggs, Caramel Cups, Carrots
- Reese’s Caramel Creme Egg (I’m curious to know how close this will taste to the Mini Cadbury Caramel Egg…)
- Reese’s Spring Sprinkles Big Cup (hopefully they improved on the recipe since last time…)
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Mini Eggs
- Kit Kat Lemon Crisp Minis
- Twizzlers Cherry Bunnies
Where can I find them?
Like every year, Hershey’s new Easter candy will probably dominate the candy aisles of all major grocery stores that carry Hersheyland products. We might have to be a little patient (Easter is still a few months away), but you can check out their website to see what’s available right now near your zip code. Or you can just harass the Easter Bunny until he tells you. Not as effective, but definitely fun.
