Walmart Is Getting a Wild New Nerds Cookie Collab

Any form of Nerds candy is a winner in my book (yeah, I said it – I love those little things!), but I particularly like it when it’s studded into something else. Give me a Nerds Rope or a pack of Nerds Juicy Gummy Clusters, and I’m in heaven. Texture is just as important when it comes to candy as flavor is, and Nerds understands that maybe more than anyone. And I respect it.

So, it’s safe to say that I very much like the look of the new Mother’s Cookies that are made with Nerds – and it’s also safe to say that I’m lamenting the fact I’m in the UK today, not only because we are seeing yet more chaos in our government, but because I probably won’t be able to try these any time soon. Let’s check out this new collab.

Mother’s x NERDS Sweet & Tangy Frosted Cookies

These new cookies from Mothers and Nerds are a combination of what both companies does best. Each pack of Mother’s x Nerds Sweet & Tangy Frosted Cookies contains two types of cookie, with red and blue frosting, both topped with those lil’ Nerds nuggets, instead of the sprinkles that normally come on its Frosted Animal Circus Cookies. As @candyhunting says, the cookies will come in both Mother’s circus animal and Nerds character shapes, for a touch of variety. 

According to the press release provided by Ferrero North America, this mash-up is a match made in heaven. “This is the kind of collaboration that gets your friends and family talking and reaching for the bag together,” said Ferrero’s senior brand manager, Julia Witten. “NERDS has one of the most passionate and energetic fanbases, and Mother’s has spent over 100 years bringing imaginative frosted fun to treat time. When two beloved brands like these come together, the result is something wildly craveable and endlessly shareable.”

Walmart Shoppers, You’re In Luck

Mother’s x Nerds Sweet & Tangy Frosted Cookies will be launching in June, and they’ll be exclusive to Walmart only. Yes, only. No word yet on exactly when they’ll be landing that month, but we would assume (and hope) that they’ll be a nationwide release and available fairly widely. Bear in mind that this is a limited-edition product, not a permanent entry into the Mother’s (and the Nerds) line-up, so make sure you get them while you can. Do what I can’t!

Along with the release of this new snack, Mother’s & Nerds are running an exclusive giveaway for fans and customers. All you have to do enter is head over to @MothersCookiesUS on all those social media channels where it has an account (ie, its Instagram), and comment #TangyTwist in the comments of the post discussing this collab.
