Culver’s Has Just Announced Two New Sandwiches For Summer

We don’t really give Culver’s as much love as we probably should here at Sporked – and maybe it’s time for that to change. The fast food chain has been on a big push in the last couple of years to expand and compete with some of the bigger players out there, without sacrificing the quality that a lot of people love it for. 2026 has been an especially ambitious year for Culver’s, and it’s been steadily working on its menu behind the scenes over the last few months.

Now, that work is showing up in the form of two new sandwiches. And honestly, both of them sound good – and what’s very, very nice to see is that the chain isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel. Here’s the deal.

New Culver’s Sandwiches

Culver’s has just revealed (via X, no less) that its new Jalapeño Jack Pub Purger and Jalapeño Jack Chicken Sandwich are dropping in select locations. Building on the success of its jalapeño cheese curds and their flavor profile, the former sandwich has two beef patties laid on a bun spread with creamy jalapeño sauce, with lettuce, tomatoes, and two slices of pepper jack cheese. The Chicken Sandwich, meanwhile, also has the same sauce and cheese (although only one slice here), but with a crispy chicken patty. 

Both sandwiches fall in line with Culver’s menu plans for 2026, which it announced back in February, in a kind of manifesto. At the time, head of culinary Kasey McDonald said that “our goal for 2026 is to deliver flavors that spark curiosity and keep guests coming back […] I’m very excited to push the boundaries and try new things while staying true to the core Midwest items that define Culver’s.” These two sandwiches make up a total of four that Culver’s has planned for this year, and coming up in the fall, we can expect some new pumpkin-inspired desserts. It’s always nice when a fast food chain sets out its stall like this; it gives us something to look forward to. 

And How Do We All Feel About This One?

The X announcement of its new sandwiches perhaps didn’t go as planned for Culver’s. The comments weren’t exactly raving about the prospect of them both, and one person alluded to a lack of innovation of Culver’s front here, by posting the Miranda Priestley “groundbreaking” .gif. 

But hey, I like the look of these! Yes, they may not be reinventing the wheel and going all-out, but I prefer a simple sandwich with something a bit different going on than food that’s weird for, well, the sake of it. So, I’m tentatively looking forward to how these will be received.
