We know we talk a lot about Costco’s bakery. But honestly, can you blame us? It’s a treasure trove of cakes and pastries, and 2026 has been a bit of a banner year for the store’s dough- and batter-based section. Things have really ramped up in the last few months, too: May brought the return of its peaches and cream cake and pistachio cheesecake, while June saw it drop new madeleines that sent the internet into a spin.

Now, it’s returning, once more, to reflection and revival: It’s just brought back another beloved cheesecake. And we’re really into this one.
Strawberry Streusel Cheesecake: Oh, How You Were Missed
It’s the Strawberry Streusel Cheesecake! As is now tradition at Sporked, news of this cake’s return came via @costcohotfinds, whose boots-on-the-ground reporting/vlogging confirmed that this one was back in business. This cake first hit stores last Spring, and it was an immediate hit – and now, Costco’s decided that it’s gonna be a summer smash.
It probably doesn’t take a genius to figure out what Costco’s Strawberry Streusel Cheesecake is, but you know what? We’re gonna break it down anyway. This cheesecake starts with a graham cracker crust, into which Costco’s cheesecake filling is poured, followed by a layer of strawberry topping. Then, it’s all finished with a buttery streusel crumb. The crumb gives it a way chunkier crunch than other topped cheesecakes: Honestly, these streusel pieces are pretty big, so watch your teeth.
You Can Hear Them From The Rooftops!
The reappearance of any beloved dessert at Costco is usually received with rapture and praise, and the Strawberry Streusel Cheesecake has been no different. “Holy YUM,” said one person in @costcohotfinds’ comments, with others saying how happy they are that this one’s back. It doesn’t seem to be at all Costco locations just yet – some people have mentioned that they couldn’t find it at theirs – but keep your eye out.
That said, some people are taking a slight issue with the price here. Each Strawberry Streusel Cheesecake comes in at $22.99, and while that’s for a cake that weighs 4.5 pounds, it’s admittedly quite a lot of cash to splash. For the most part, though, people are into this one — and I am too. I’m off to go and bake a streusel cheesecake of my own (I’m not, but I can dream, right?).
