White Castle’s August Deal Brings The Value

White Castle’s been bubbling along nicely this summer, with new collabs and new sliders dropping every few weeks. The latter has seen it stretch its menu in satisfying directions: Its Southwest Veggie Slider caught our eye for having an actual old-school veggie burger in it (which I personally found very refreshing, as a long-term fan of actual veggie-based burgers, despite being a meat eater), while its Garlic Parm Chicken Slider saw it go full-throttle on flavor.

If there’s one thing White Castle won’t do, though, it’s forget the basics. It all started with its original sliders, and now, it’s bringing back a deal that lets you get a lot for less. 

The $8.99 10-Sack: We Are So Back

Yesterday, White Castle announced the return of its $8.99 deal, a popular value offer which last ran in May. The restaurant is framing this as a recognition of what its customers really want, and what everyone, White Castle fan or not, is looking for these days: Value. “White Castle has always been about meeting Cravers where their budgets are,” said the chain’s CMO, Jamie Richardson, in its press release. “Bringing back the $8.99 10-sack means Cravers can keep feeding their Crave without it costing them extra. That’s what White Castle has stood for since 1921.” Given that quite literally everything is getting more expensive all the time, it’s nice to see that White Castle hasn’t nudged the price of this one up since it last appeared. 

The premise is simple: You pay $8.99, you get 10 burgers. If you’re a Craver Nation Rewards member, though, you can add two soft drinks to your order for free. Craver Nation is free to join…so that one’s a no-brainer. White Castle is also running a bunch of other deals during August for its loyalty program members, including $2 off Sacks of Fries, BOGO Cheese Sliders, and a 6-piece Chicken Rings and Small Fries for $3, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. only. 

How Long Are These Deals Available?

The $8.99 10-sack is available RIGHT NOW and will be until August 23; if you’re a Craver Nation member, the offer extends to the 31st. Its other offers either end on the 23rd or 31st: Check your White Castle app for all the details. All of this reminds me that I haven’t had a slider in a loooong time…but the weekend’s upon us, people. Time to chow down on those teeny, tiny burgers.
