Hardee’s Just Added S’mores To The Menu

Is it fall yet? In calendar terms, yes; in weather terms…maybe not? This is a funny time of year, when the thermometer is still relatively high in a lot of places, but when we’re also being urged by food companies and brands to hunker down for the season. Pumpkin spice and apple cider begin to reign supreme, coziness is the watchword for every little thing, and summer foods begin to feel but a distant memory.

This year, though, some brands have been trying to bridge the gap between summer and fall by playing both sides. Hence, we’ve seen “summerween” cookie dough, a “hotumn” drinks lineup from Sonic, and now, a dual menu from Hardee’s – featuring s’mores. Let’s discuss.

Hardee’s S’Mores And Bacon Beast Platforms

Starting September 9, Hardee’s debuted its new S’Mores and Bacon Beast Platforms (“platform” is the new term du jour for “menu,” and everyone seems to be doing it) – and these new platforms basically bring a lot of both to the chain’s menu. 

It’s also bringing back its Cinnamon ‘N’ Raisin Biscuit once more…and here’s where the bridging-the-gap nature of this menu refresh comes in. Essentially, the S’Mores Platform is to honor the last days of summer; the Cinnamon ‘N’ Raisin Biscuit is to welcome fall, and the Bacon Beast Platform is, Hardee’s says in its press release, “to keep guests fueled as they get back into routine with the start of a new season.” 

Hey, we buy it! Anyway, here’s what the new menu items look like in each respective platform:

S’Mores Platform

• S’mores Iced Coffee: A combo of Hardee’s cold brew with toasted marshmallow and chocolatey syrups.
• S’mores Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shake: Hand-scooped vanilla ice cream blended with toasted marshmallow and chocolate syrups, and then hit with graham cracker and chocolatey sprinkles. 
• S’mores Fried Pie: Okay, this one sounds fun. A golden-brown shell filled with marshmallow cream, graham crumble, and chocolatey filling.

Bacon Beast Platform

• Super Bacon Biscuit: A Hardee’s Made from Scratch Biscuit with three slices of cherrywood smoked bacon, egg, and American cheese. 
• Bacon Beast Homestyle Burrito: Eggs, four – four! – slices of cherrywood smoked bacon, and American cheese, wrapped in a tortilla.
• Bacon Beast: A 100% Angus beef burger with four – four! – slices of cherrywood smoked bacon on a brioche-style bun. If you’re a new My Rewards member, you can get this one for free when you sign up for a limited time. 
• Bacon Beast Chicken Sandwich: Hand-breaded chicken with four – FOUR! – slices of smoked bacon, tomatoes, and lettuce on a brioche-style bun.
