Things are heating up at Aldi! And it’s not just because they released yet another Chick-fil-A dupe this week. Well, it sort of is but not because CFA is about to sue them or anything. It’s not that exciting. Rather, things are literally heating up because Aldi just launched a new product in their line of Chick-fil-A dupe products, the Red Bag Chicken.

Sweet Heat Chicken Fillets
The latest dupe to hit the aisles of Aldi is a recreation of Chick-fil-A’s spicy chicken sandwich. You can now find a pound and a half bag of them at Aldi for only $8.99. The savings are freaking unreal with these! My local Chick-fil-A is charging $6.79 for one one spicy chicken filet. Not a whole meal, not even the sandwich, one literal filet. That is true highway robbery.
How much does the whole sandwich cost? $7.09. I guess you’re getting a lot of mileage out of that extra 30 cents. The fact still remains that this is wayyyy too much for just one sandwich when I can get how many times as much at Aldi for a dollar more? That’s not a rhetorical question, I quite literally can’t tell because Aldi doesn’t have it listed online. Either way, I know it’s definitely more than one filet in that bag.
Whole Kit And Caboodle For Less
Just for the sake of things, let’s look at getting everything at Aldi. At Aldi a 12 pack of nice, soft brioche hamburger buns will cost you 40 cents a bun. Then we can get enough pickles to absolutely cover our filet for only 35 cents. A grand total of 75 extra cents per sandwich that you’re putting together (CFA doesn’t auto include sauce on their spicy chicken sandwich, which is an odd choice). You simply cannot beat the prices that Aldi is putting together.
A Welcomed Addition To The Full Line Of Red Bag Chicken
Aldi’s line of red bag chicken is really starting to fill out. They started with regular chicken filets as well as lightly breaded chicken breast chunks that truly do rival Chick-fil-A’s iconic dish. Now they’re entering their spicy era? There is truly no stopping Aldi and I, for one, am here to see them take over CFA’s entire menu. What’s next, lemonade that they make in-house every day? Actually that’s not a bad idea. Let’s get on that one if we can, Aldi.
