The people yearn for food hacks. It seems like every other week, some intrepid fast-food customer is figuring out a new way to amp up a menu item somewhere or another – and that happens in places like Costco’s food court and Sam’s Club’s cafe, too. If we’re being self-reflective, though, we’ve spent way more time talking about one of those food outlets than the other. Costco condiment hacks, hot dog hacks, chicken bake hacks…we’ve discussed them all. But Sam’s Club cafe hacks? We’ve barely scratched the surface.

It’s time to change that. A video came to our attention this week, featuring a Sam’s Club hack that you’ll love if you want to hold on to the dregs of summer. Let’s discuss.
ICEE + Froyo = Success
This hack comes courtesy of @samsclubfoodreview on Instagram, who originally posted it last year. It’s delightfully simple, and if you’re a fan of ice cream floats, you’re probably gonna love it. All you have to do is order a standard ICEE and a vanilla froyo, and grab a soda cup on the side. Then, mix: Pour half of the ICEE into the bottom of the cup, add some froyo, and then add the rest of the ICEE on top. Stir, and you’ve got yourself a DIY froyo float.
You can, of course, use any ICEE flavor you want: @samsclubfoodreview opted for Blue Raspberry, but if you want to make it with cherry or Pepsi, you can. If you want to have even more going on, you can also do this with one of its sundaes, which will give you a mix-in effect. Just bear in mind that this might make everything a little chaotic and slightly more overbearingly sweet, but hey – while you’re Willy Wonka-ing your drinks over here, you may as well, right? Experiment! We all have to get our kicks somehow.
A Hack Worth Having
While this ICEE float hack may not be for everyone, most people in @samsclubfoodreview see the fun side. A fair few folks have also pointed out that Sam’s Club Hawaii actually already offers this on its menu, rendering the hack redundant in that region. For everyone else, though, it’s a nice little way to make something new. Incidentally, you can also do this with a soda to make a more traditional float — or you can just skip all of these hacks and eat everything as the store intended.
