One of the nicest things about the seasons changing (besides the changing menus, the chance to check back in with your taste in knitwear, etc.) is the fact that stores are trying to do a massive turnaround in their inventory. We’re not just talking about the mega orange, black, and purple influx of Halloween-themed things, we’re talking about a general refreshment and refurbishment of grocery store shelves. That means that your weekend shopping trip just got more exciting―new products, limited-time releases, early fall cozy vibes, you name it. But with that comes some decision fatigue. We’re here to help. Here are some of the best items to buy this weekend from your favorite stores, all under $10.

Trader Joe’s: Granola Butter ― $5.49
If cookies can be made into butter (ahem, Biscoff), why not granola? If you haven’t tried it yet, why not start out the weekend with a very wonderful-sounding product called Granola Butter? Yes, it really is like smooth, creamy granola. It’s made with whole oats blended with olive and coconut oil and brown sugar, resulting in a sweet, nostalgic flavor TJ’s itself calls a bit “graham cracker-like,” with hints of vanilla. Spread that on some toast and forget about that thing called Monday.
Sam’s Club: Member’s Mark Dried Mango Slices ― $6.98
Why? Because summer’s not over yet and we’re not ready to say goodbye to tropical flavors any time soon. (Plus, considering how much candy is on its way to us―pumpkin spice-flavored and otherwise―it’s just a prudent idea to enjoy some “nature’s candy” here and there.) Freeze dried fruit is easily among the most snackable of nature’s many candies, and with $2 off for members (they’re normally $8.98), this 24-ounce bag of freeze dried mango will make even the rainiest, chores-filled weekend feel just a bit beachy.
Whole Foods: Garlic Herb Shrimp Skewer ― $9.75
Okay, we’re right on the cusp of ten bucks here, but the sales and seafood prices at Whole Foods are usually pretty faithful to what’s promised (and $9.75 is the price per pound and the estimated total price, with Amazon Prime). All of which means, for under ten bucks you get a classy kind of “goodbye summery” dinner protein that’s been pre-seasoned. You can chuck it on your grill or stovetop and, if you like, pour a glass of crisp white wine and feel like a chef.
Trader Joe’s: The Sheepish Pesto ― $6.49
Another random item totally worth picking up for a few reasons: a) it’s only going to be available for the rest of August, b) it’s made for TJ’s by cheese producers in Spain, and c) it’s delicious sheep’s milk cheese that’s been injected with pesto. You know how the word “injected” usually precedes something bad or scary? This is the opposite, it’s edible, it’s cheese, and it’s made by experts. Oh, and it’s under seven bucks.
Publix: Tiramisu ― $6.99
Valid from August 19th through August 25th, so if you’re like me and long ago declared tiramisu one of your top five favorite desserts, don’t miss out on this one. It’s not a tiny tiramisu either―you get 10 ounces for this price. Weekends are for classy stuff, after all. The best part about this one is it’s on sale and you can eat it on the couch.
Whole Foods: La Colombe Dark Roast Cold Brew ― $5.02
Another Whole Foods find that does require Prime, but the savings here are real―especially when you consider the quality. After all, it’s hard to find a decent bottled cold brew out there (we know, we keep trying), but with a brand like La Colombe, it’s hard to go wrong. Again, Prime members save molto―instead of the usual $7.49, you’ll pay just over five bucks for 48-ounces of their (unsweetened) ultra-rich dark roast cold brew.
Sam’s Club: Kit Kat Cones ― $7.94
Save two dollars on 16 (yes, 16) Kit Kat ice cream cones at Sam’s Club this weekend. First of all, prior to finding this deal, I had no idea Kit Kat ice cream cones existed. Secondly, it’s not just 16 cones, it’s a variety pack, friends―eight “Chocolate Wafer” cones and eight “Wafer with Fudge Cones.” What better way to celebrate the weekend?
