The Best Back to School Snacks at Dollar Tree

Step aside, Target! We’ve got a new challenger in the back to school shopping game. Dollar Tree is here to fight for your patronage and they’re putting up some good numbers. Cheap school supplies, plenty of back to school snacks, and an excuse to have a certified fun drink while you shop! What does Target even have that Dollar Tree doesn’t? A back to school section that goes up in the middle of May. Who wants to see that every time they stop in? Personally, I want to live in ignorant bliss, oblivious to the impending doom of school starting up. Here are six back to school snacks you can get last minute so you don’t have to worry about the school year starting until the bell’s about to ring! (Are you a Costco shopper? Check out our list of the best back to school snacks at Costco, too.)

Feastables Mr Beast Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sending your kid back to school with a bag of Mr Beast’s cookies from Dollar Tree is the best way to set them up for success. Okay, maybe not the best way, but the kids love this guy, is what I’m saying. Best of all, they can share these suckers with all their classmates, regardless of dietary restrictions, because they’re gluten free and totally plant based. That’s a good back to school snack—especially for the bargain price of $1.25.

Snack Pack Chocolate Vanilla Pudding Snack Cups

Everyone at school needs pudding cups—children, teachers, principals. You can never have too many pudding cups around. Some people prefer vanilla, some prefer chocolate, so that’s why we’re meeting in the middle and getting the chocolate-vanilla swirl cups from Dollar Tree. Just whatever you do, please don’t get your kid tapioca. I don’t care how good it is, they will get bullied!

Jack Link’s Beef Stick & Cheese

I know sending your kid to school with unrefrigerated cheese seems weird, but look what I found at Dollar Tree! Shelf-stable cheese that’s meant to be stored at room temp. Brilliant. How is that possible? Don’t ask! Just enjoy the ease of throwing a pair of beef and cheese sticks into your kid’s backpack.

Spongebob Fruit Snacks

Fruit snacks are arguably the ultimate back to school snack, and Dollar Tree stocks a lot of fruit snacks. They have a whole wall full of them. Sharks, Sonic, plain ol’ Mott’s. You name it, they have it. Spongebob is obviously the most fun option. And as you know, I love to have fun at Dollar Tree. And you want your kids to have fun during the school year. So this pick is a no-brainer.

Sobisk Cheddar Cheese Crackers

I’ll admit, there’s some compromise here. Dollar Tree does have cooler looking cheddar cheese snack crackers that are shaped like whales. But they come in an individual box. It’s already a pain to get all our snacks in order, so let’s not make back to school any more difficult by picking snacks that require an extra baggie. Get these cute, snack-sized packaged crackers (a generic take on Cheez-Its), so you can toss one in the ol’ lunch box and go.

Sobisk Honey Bear Grahams Cookies

Much like Sobisk Cheddar Cheese Crackers are kinda like Cheez-Itz, these are kinda like Teddy Grahams. And they also come in individual bags, which makes them the perfect back to school snack (unless your kid is an elitist about brand names, in which case, get a grip, kid!). At $1.25 for a ten pack, you gotta give these a shot.
